Tune In Slider Birthday Card

Oh My Gosh — this Tune In Slider Birthday Card was SO MUCH fun to make!! It features the Tune In Bundle (stamps and dies) and the 2024-2026 In Color 6″ x 6″ Designer Paper. My inspiration came from a card that Brenda Quintana made — I had to give it a try!! It looks hard but is really quite easy.

Isn’t is adorable with the fun Stay Tuned for an Important Message in the middle of the TV but watch what happens.

You pull the little slider out and surprise — it says HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! It is so fun. The whole card also opens so you can write a little greeting inside.

measurements:

Petunia Pop — 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ — score at 4 1/4″; 3 1/4″ x 4″
Basic White — 2 pieces – 4″ x 5 1/4″; 2 1/8″ x 5 1/4″; 3″ x 5 1/4″ — score at 3/8″ each long edge
Gray Granite — 2″ x 2″
2024-2026 In Color Designer Paper — 5/8″ x 5 1/4″

Stamp TV on 3 1/4″ x 4″ Petunia Pop and die cut — do not cut center out yet
Adhere Designer Paper to one 4″ x 5 1/4″ Basic White
Stamp antennae on Gray Granite — die cut it and the 2 knobs
Adhere knobs to TV
Adhere TV to Basic White tucking antennae under top edge of TV
Die cut center of TV
Stamp thunder bolts with Memento ink
Fold 3″ x 5 1/4″ Basic White on score lines
Adhere one 3/8″ flap to back of TV piece — line edge of 3/8″ flap with bottom edge of TV opening — then adhere top 3/8″ flap to top of TV opening — this creates a pocket behind the TV
Punch a small circle along left edge so you can pull the slider in and out
Slide 2 1/8″ x 5 1/4″ Basic White into pocket opening
Stamp STAY TUNED with Memento in the opening
Pull out so you can see STAY TUNED — stamp Happy Birthday
Attach the whole layer to Petunia Pop card base with Dimensionals
Adhere second 4″ x 5 1/4″ Basic White inside card base

YOU ARE ALL SET TO PULL YOUR BIRTHDAY GREETING IN AND OUT OF THE SLIDER POCKET.

Spotlight on Nature Sympathy Fun Fold

This week’s FB Live was this Spotlight on Nature Sympathy Fun Fold Card. I asked my customers & friends what I should make this week. There were a few responses — Masculine, Sympathy, Fun Fold, Spotlight on Nature. I achieved 3 of the 4 requests with this Z-Fold Double Pop Up Sympathy card using the Spotlight on Nature stamp set and Thoughtful Journey Designer Paper. This designer paper is so amazing with lots of different colors and prints to work with.

You all know I love layers and this card definitely has layers. First I picked my color palette to coordinate with the DSP (designer series paper), then I chose the coordinating Stampin’ Blends to color the flowers and leaves. In this picture, the card front looks like a standard card layout.

But, when you open the card, there is a surprise layer inside that pops up to share the greeting. The Unbounded Love Stamp Set has amazing phrases and greetings — it is a must have item.

I shared my original sample using Boho Blue and a different sheet of the DSP. It completely changes the look of the card.

This time I stamped with Smoky Slate ink to give it a softer feeling and thoughts.

Filled with Cheer

Last week’s Friends Night Out Club had a little fun with the Filled with Cheer stamp set that was released in the newest Online Exclusives. I paired this fabulous stamp set with the Season of Green & Gold Designer Paper.

Don’t you just love this adorable melting snowman — he is SO CUTE!!
The snowman image was stamped with Memento ink on a Basic White circle that was die cut using the Spotlight on Nature Dies, then colored with Stampin’ Blends. I added Wink of Stella to the snowman, making him sparkle like snow. A second Spotlight on Nature die cut was add to the back to cover up the color that bleeds through to the back. Then I cut off the bottom section following the snow line. The circle was attached to the card front with Dimensionals, putting them only on the left side so the card isn’t sealed shut.

Christmas lights were stamped across the top of the Basic White, colored with Stampin’ Blends and adhered inside the card base.

This stamp set coordinates with the Filled with Fun Die Set and is going to be a lot of fun to work with for the Holiday season.

Old Olive — 2 pieces — 2 1/2″ x 4″
