Beach Days Mini Album

Project 2 from our Stampin’ Sisters Retreat was this delightful Beach Days Mini Album using the Softly Stippled Designer Paper. This paper adds a touch of elegance with the lovely blends of colors — Pool Party, Calypso Coral and Pecan Pie are the perfect colors for beach scenes.

The album is assembled using envelopes and card bases. The combination of these provides a sturdy foundation for the beach-themed album. The fun beach scenes and mats to add pictures is perfect! It captures the essence of sun, sand, and sea.

Pages 1 & 2

I added seashells, sand castle, surf board and a chair and sun umbrella giving a little tropical touch to the page.

Pages 3 & 4

The Softly Stippled Designer Paper gives a lovely background for the photo mats

But wait, there’s a little surprise pull out that you can add more photos to the front and back of the pull out.

Pages 5 & 6

I added more sand castles and a beach chair and umbrella so you can see everything that is going on at the beach.

Pages 7 & 8

Another pull out page for photos plus the life guard watch tower keeping everyone safe.

Pages 9 & 10

Palm Trees — that definitely says vacation and relaxation.

And we finished off the album with Calypso Coral Designer Paper on the back.
I am anxious to add some pictures from our upcoming trip to Cancun to this fun Beach Days Mini Scrapbook!!

Stampin’ Sisters Retreat – Projects 1 & 2

It’s time to share our Stampin’ Sisters Retreat – Projects 1 & 2!!! The first project is the Sweet Thoughts Framed Art and it is so gorgeous. It was definitely a fan favorite of the weekend.

My sister, Tina Rappe, has created a delightful 12″ x 12″ Framed Art piece using the Sweet Thoughts Memory & More Card Pack. These cards are versatile and perfect for crafting beautiful designs. Let’s explore some of the details and creative possibilities:

Sweet Thoughts Memories & More Cards:
Tina used these cards as the foundation for her artwork. The pack includes 50 double-sided cards with various designs, making it easy to create stunning projects. Each card features charming patterns, sentiments, and imagery that can be mixed and matched to suit different themes. She started with a 12″ x 12″ Basic White base, then mounted the Sweet Thoughts cards on coordinating cardstock. The Sweet Thoughts Memories & More Cards also come with coordinating stickers, that were creatively into her designs. The amazing part is this framed art was created with less than 1/2 of one Sweet Thoughts Memories & More Card Packs

Our second project used the Carnival Treats stamp set which everyone received. Tina designed these 6 cards that are so fun and tasty looking.

Carnival Treats Host Stamp Set features images of iconic and tasty treats you would find at fairs, carnivals, and entertainment venues. This stamp set is perfect for all-occasion card making and gift tags, especially when the gift happens to be treats! The images are designed for coloring, allowing you to customize the colors and “flavors” of these delightful treats.

Stampin’ Sisters Retreat 2024 Day 2

Here’s a peek at Stampin’ Sisters Retreat 2024 Day 2! When everyone arrived Saturday morning, we had these adorable drink pouches at their table spot. The 60’s & 70’s theme is carried through with these totally groovy pouches. They remind me of the Capri Sun drinks my kids used to have.

We also had cello bags filled with the Carnival Treats stamp set plus 4 packages of embellishments, 2 rolls of ribbon and a bottle of Multipurpose Liquid Glue (green glue). They will use all these goodies on projects throughout the weekend.

My husband, Tony, came Saturday morning to sharpen scissors for the ladies. This is one of the perks of Stampin’ Sisters Retreat. See the pile of scissors on the table — 63 pairs of scissors sharpened — they definitely kept him busy. Everyone should be able to do lots of fussy cutting until they return next year.

card swap contest

We have a card swap for anyone who wants to participate. There were a total of 42 participants this year and some really awesome cards. We have everyone vote on their top 3 choices.

This is the 3rd place card made by Christy Kimball using the Cutest Cows Bundle.

It’s an adorable interactive card that holds a gift card. I love that Christy added a Chick-fil-a gift card.

The 2nd place card was made by Deborah Keizer using the Let’s Go Fishing Bundle. Look at all that die cutting!! This is such a great card.

Colleen Kerl earned 1st place with this amazing fun fold card.

The front of the card is amazing but look at the inside. It has such a unique fold that makes you keep opening the card. The gold arch on the right is a little tag that pulls out for the Happy Mother’s Day greeting.

Here’s a picture of the three ladies holding their prizes and their winning cards. It was so much fun.
