Just My Type For You

It’s time for another All Occasion card with Just My Type For You.
This adorable card features the Just My Type Stamp Set and has a fun
paper piecing technique.  I’ve been seeing this technique a few times recently
and just had to give it a try.

I started with cutting a diamond shape from the center of the card using the second largest square
die from Stylish Shapes Dies.  Then I embossed the pieces with the Basics 3D Embossing Folder which is
my absolute favorite folder right now.  The next step is to adhere the 1/4″ strips of Smoky Slate around the
diamond shape opening, start by lining the first strip even with the top and bottom of the diamond opening
as shown in the picture below.  Then you continue adhering strips around the opening butting the edge up
to the previous strip.  Trim the edges of the Smoky Slate strips even with the Bubble Bath piece and adhere
to the Smoky Slate card base.

Now you can adhere the Stylish Shape square you cut out back into the opening.
Stamp the flower image and greeting with Memento and color with Stampin’ Blends.
Adhere to the Smoky Slate square, then attach to card front with Dimensionals.
Don’t forget to decorate the inside too.  I stamped the fun greeting and flower with
Memento ink, colored the flower and added the stem and leaves with the Granny Apple
Green Stampin’ Blend.

This was such a fun card to make and looks harder than it really is — I hope you’ll give it a try.

Smoky Slate — 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ — score at 4 1/4″; 2 1/8″ x 2 1/8″; 4 pieces — 1/4″ x 5 1/2″
Bubble Bath — 4″ x 5 1/4″
Basic White — 4″ x 5 1/4″; 2″ x 2″
