Peaceful Moments Double Sheet Wonder

Here’s another fun project from my Creative Escape Event — it’s a Peaceful Moments Double Sheet Wonder.
Four quick cards using 6″ x 6″ DSP.

Everyone received a package of Brights 6″ x 6″ Designer Paper.
I chose the two Bermuda Bay prints — one sheet of each print.
These two pieces are cut according to the template – 4 simple cuts.

Card Bases and Mats:

Basic Black card bases – 4 pieces – 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ – score at 4 1/4″
Basic White – 8 pieces – 4” x 5 1/4″ (4 for card front and 4 for inside of card)
Bermuda Bay – 4 pieces – 3 7/8” x 5 1/8”
Basic Black Mats:
          3” x 3” – 4 pieces
          2 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ – 2 pieces
          1 1/4″ x 4 1/2″ – 2 pieces
          2” x 3 1/2″ – 2 pieces
          3 1/2″ x 3 1/2″ – 4 pieces — scallop circle from Layering Circle Die
Basic White Circles – 4 pieces – 3 1/4″ x 3 1/4″ – Layering Circle Die

 

Next the Designer Paper pieces are adhered to Basic Black mats that are 1/4″ larger.
Then you assemble the cards as shown — there are two different layouts.

This is such an economical way to make a bunch of cards at one time.
We could make 80 cards from this one package of 6″ x 6″ DSP — 8 cards from 10 different colors.
You just have to add cardstock for bases and layers.

Fun with Basic Pattern Masks

I just held my Creative Escape Mini Stamp Camp and we
had Fun with Basic Pattern Masks and Blending Brushes.
The Slim Sayings Stamp Set was the perfect greeting set.

This color combo with mats of Basic Black turned out fabulous!!

The first card is perfect for the graduate on your list.
I left the top third of the card white and added a strip of Polished Pink cardstock
to separate the two sections.

 


For the second card I added the Highland Heather Grosgrain Ribbon to separate the
two sections.  The greeting is die cut using Hippo & Friends Dies — these are on the retiring list,
so you have just a few days left to get them.

 


I love this ENJOY stamp — the size and font are perfect!!


We had fun adding the different colors for these polka dots.
The Happy Birthday fills the whole card.


This mask gives such a fun look to the card and the added dark purple
Pastel Pearls really pull the Highland Heather color out.


Stitched So Sweetly Dies are the retiring item I will miss the most.
I love this die set.

Simply Elegant Special Moments Card Set

Today I have a Simply Elegant Special Moments Card Set to share from Cabin Fever.
This was an add on class featuring the Simply Elegant Designer Paper.
The greetings are all from Special Moments Stamp Set which was a FREE Sale-a-Bration item
that is no longer available, but you could use any greeting stamp set.

I love all the glimmer and shine in this designer paper.
Metallic specialty papers were added for a little more elegance.

Each card features different patterns of the Designer Paper.
This card used the opposite side of the paper so there is not metallic for this card.

Lots of silver and gold for this card with added border layer and the lovely butterflies.

Aren’t these copper flowers gorgeous?
I fussy cut a flower set from the paper to add above the greeting, then some fun squares below the greeting.

The final card uses the non-metallic side of the paper giving this card
a very elegant look that could be great for any guy in your life.
