Stampin’ Sisters Retreat – Project 1

Here is our Stampin’ Sisters Retreat – Project 1!!

We used In the Moments Stamp Set with Patterned Party Host Designer Paper.
There are 6 wonderful cards — 3 cards with 2 different layouts.
We used 6 different designer paper prints so each card has its own unique look.

Everyone received a package of the Adhesive Backed Hexagons to add to their cards.

Each girl image was colored with Stampin’ Blends.
I love this one on the balcony with a glass of red wine — so relaxing.

Can you imagine what she is looking at sitting with her cup of coffee?
Maybe she’s in a cabin on a lake??  That sounds like fun.

How about curled up on the bed with a good book and your puppy snuggling?
My daughter colored the dog to look like her dog — it was so cute.

Comfy clothes, a book, a cup of coffee and snuggles — what a day.

The wind must be blowing — she’s holding her hat.

I love the greeting on this card — it is oh so true!!

It was fun to see how everyone colored their girls.
One of my guests asked why my girls always have brown hair — hmmmm…
She gave her girls blonde hair!!

Waves of the Ocean Fun

Last night’s Facebook Live was a Waves of the Ocean fun but simple birthday card
and a totally awesome card with a seagull.

The products in the Waves of the Ocean Collection are so amazing and gorgeous.
I just received my items last week and decided I needed to share them.

The first card was inspired by fellow demonstrator, Jackie Bolhuis.
It is super simple and very tropical with layers of Coastal Cabana and Bermuda Bay.
I love the dimensional look of the wave which is stamped three times
starting with Pool Party ink, then using a Sponge Dauber to dab on some
Coastal Cabana and finally dabbing on some Bermuda Bay.

Measurements

Thick Basic White — 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ — score at 4 1/4″
Bermuda Bay — 3 1/2″ x 4 3/4″

Coastal Cabana — 3 1/4″ x 4 1/2″
Basic White — 3 1/8″ x 4 3/8″

Then I saw this fabulous layout by Amy Knoeders and knew I had to make this one
with some Peggy modifications — layers and Dimensionals.

The top Basic White layer is embossed with the Tasteful Textiles 3D Embossing Folder
The sun piece is Basic White that I used the Blending Brushes with So Saffron, Daffodil Delight
and Bumblebee stamp pads to create a fun sunset looking piece that is mounted on So Saffron.
I just love the seagull on the pilon — he is stamped in Soft Suede.
I added a layer of Bermuda Bay between the Basic White layers to give it a little
bit of a tropical feel to the card.

Stampin’ Sisters Retreat 2022

I took a little Blog break last week, but I am back to share
our Stampin’ Sisters Retreat 2022.

We spent March 4 – 6 at the Hilton Garden Inn in Rockford, IL
with 92 fabulous ladies.  Yes, we did a lot of stamping but we also
had a lot of fun and laughs throughout the whole weekend.

It was so good to be able to be together in person this year.
Here is our group pictures with almost everyone in it.
The hotel is so wonderful to move furniture around so we
can take this picture each year.

The weekend started Friday night at 7:00 p.m. — everyone was lined up in the
hallway waiting for the doors
to open and reveal this year’s them.

Our theme this year was Creativity at Work.

We had a fun display table with little workbenches, construction cones, hard hats and work aprons.

Here is the room just before we opened the doors.

Tina and I greeted them at the door wearing hard hats and aprons

along with fun Creativity at Work T-Shirts — we forgot to wear out hard hats in our selfie.

There was a tool box full of goodies waiting for each guest.
The tool box was filled with 8 projects to be completed over the next 32 hours
plus Blending Brushes, Sponge Daubers, Dimensionals, Green Glue,
a Stamp Set and Designer Paper and their Prize Patrol number.

Throughout the weekend everyone got to play our Construction Cone Toss Game
to win a prize (the prize was guaranteed even if they didn’t “win” the game).

We had a gift for our Newbies.
Newbies are first time attendees of our Stampin’ Sisters Retreat.

We also gave a gift to all of our team members that attended – we love these ladies!!!

I will leave you with tables of hard-working stampers.
