Butterfly Stained Glass Window

I LOVE this card.  I love the color combo, the butterflies and the soft feel of this card — it brings a peaceful feeling when you look at it.

Graceful Glass Suite, Graceful Glass Vellum Designer Paper
The card base is Coast Cabana with layers of Black.  The stained glass window is the Graceful Glass Vellum Designer Paper that we colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers.  To give the soft look we colored on the backside of the vellum and then attached it to a piece of Whisper White cardstock with Mini Glue Dots cut the flowers and at the top edge.  Then we trimmed with Paper Snips around the edge of the window.

I love how it turned out — what do you think?

Diamonds of Color

Stained Glass windows are so pretty.  I love to drive past churches that have them, especially when they are lit up — so elegant and graceful.  The Graceful Glass Vellum Designer Paper gives you the same elegance and it’s easy to do.  The paper is printed with gorgeous black embossed designs – all you have to do is color the paper with Stampin’ Write Markers or Stampin’ Blends.  Check out this beautiful birthday card.

Painted Glass Stamp Set, Graceful Glass Designer Paper, Stained Glass Thinlits
I used Stampin’ Write Markers for this card, coloring the rows the diamonds Rich Razzleberry, Lemon Lime Twist, Mossy Meadow and Lovely Lipstick.  I love the way this card turned out, it’s almost like you can see light shining through the “glass”.

Stained Glass Framelits with Embossing Pads

Have you tried the new Embossing Pads with your Framelits yet?  Oh my gosh this is fun!!!  Some thinlits emboss but don’t cut out — the embossing can be a little light — these new embossing pads deepen the emboss and make it stand out great.  BUT — the best thing is you can use those framelits and thinlits that do cut out images and you can emboss with them – they won’t cut through the cardstock.  Check out this card we made at my Graceful Glass Suite Class.

Painted Glass Stamp Set, Stained Glass Thinlits, Embossing Pads
This is the Stained Glass Thinlits — they leave a deep impression so it shows up very well but does not cut through the cardstock.  I love how these Embossing Pads work and can’t wait to try out lots of other thinlits and framelits.  I used the Everyday Label Punch for the greeting — I stamped, punched and then cut about 1/8″ off top and bottom.
