Summer Sunflowers

The sun is shining, the weather is warm — summer is definitely in full swing.
Gardens are growing like crazy, spring flowers are gone and summer flowers are blooming.
Today’s card reminds me of summer and the sun.
I used Bumblebee, one of this year’s In Colors for the card base.
The Tasteful Textiles 3D Embossing Folder added a great feel to the Whisper White cardstock.

I love the sunflower peeking through the window.
Cinnamon Cider was perfect for the center of the sunflower
and the Bumblebee Gingham Ribbon added the finishing touch.

Gorgeous Posies

About 3 weeks ago I shared how beautiful the Gorgeous Posies Kit from the Annual Catalog is.
Click here if you missed that post. 

Today I am sharing the Gorgeous Posies stamp set that coordinates with the card kit.
It is truly a beautiful stamp set along or with the kit.

 

Gorgeous Posies Stamp, Dainty Diamonds 3D Embossing Folder, Playing with Patterns Ribbon Combo Pack, Stamp with Peggy

Measurements: 

Purple Posy: 5 1/2″ x  8 1/2″ —  score at 4 1/4″
Highland Heather: 4” x 5 1/4″               2 3/4” x 3 3/4″
Whisper White: 3 7/8” x 5 1/8″             2 1/2″ x 3 1/2″        2 1/4” x 2 1/4″
Playing with Patterns Ribbon Combo Pack: 6” 

Instructions:
  • Fold Purple Posy on score line
  • Emboss 3 7/8” x 5 1/8″ Whisper White with Dainty Diamond 3D Embossing Folder
  • On 2 1/4” x 2 1/4″ Whisper White – stamp flower with Highland Heather stamped off. Stamp three small circle stamp in center with Highland Heather full strength.  Cut out with Paper Snips
  • On 2 1/2″ x 3 1/2″ Whisper White – stamp “Celebrating Your Day” with Highland Heather and two leaves with Pear Pizzazz
  • Assemble Card:

          *Embossed Whisper White to Highland Heather
          *Wrap ribbon across front and attach to back of Highland Heather — adhere to Purple Posy card base
          *Stamped Whisper White to Highland Heather
          *Highland Heather to card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals
          *Flower with Stampin’ Dimensionals
          *Add 3 Pearl Basic Jewels to center of flower

A Grand Kid

I got to spend this past weekend with my youngest two grandchildren!!!
We had some very special time together.
As I was deciding what to post about today, I remembered that I hadn’t shared
last month’s class – A Grand Kid!!!
A Grand Kid is a stamp set from the Annual Catalog that is perfect, of course,
for making birthday cards for our grandchildren but it is also great for all ages.

I paired the stamp set with the 2020-2022 In Color 6″ x 6″ Designer Paper,
Ribbons and Enamel Dots to make 5 fabulous cards including one that holds a gift card or money.
