Gather Together

It’s time to share the cards I designed for our Holiday Hoopla.  Since tonight I’m having a class featuring the Come to Gather Suite, I thought this card would be a good one to share first.  It uses the Gather Together stamp set and Gathered Leaves Dies along with with Come to Gather Designer Paper.

I love the fall colors in this card.

The Birch background stamp was perfect on Very Vanilla with Sahara Sand ink and a layer of Cajun Craze behind it.  The Come to Gather Designer Paper strip was punched with the Banner Triple Punch.  Gather Together was stamped with Cajun Craze ink.  I cut out leaves from Pretty Peacock, Soft Suede and Cajun Craze with the fabulous dies that emboss and cut at the same time — love it.  The large leaf was stamp on Very Vanilla with Soft Suede and then colored in with Light Soft Suede Stampin’ Blend — there is a die to cut it out too.  Last I stamp the pumpkin with Cajun Craze ink on Very Vanilla and colored it with the Light Cajun Craze Blend.  There is a wonderful ribbon pack to coordinate with this suite.  I used the Cajun Craze twine to tie a small bow and attached to the pumpkin stem.

Holiday Hoopla Prizes & Gifts

I wanted to share with you some of the fun gifts and prizes we had for our speakers and display stampers.
These adorable gifts were for each of our display stampers.  Tina started with plain white 12″ x 12″ gift boxes.  Then she covered the boxes with the Let It Snow Designer Paper.  I love the addition of the Real Red Curly Ribbon and pom pom on the tags.

These adorable bags were made using the Toile Tidings Designer Paper.  The handles are the Garden Green Double Stitched Ribbon.  These cuties were given to our speakers who did such an amazing job.

We offered card swaps for everyone to participate in.
We had four categories — Halloween 3-D Swap, Christmas Card, Anything but Christmas Card and a 2 page Scrapbook Layout.  The ladies did an awesome job in every category.
We have everyone vote on their favorite in each group.
The winners each received the Cheers Dies — are they decorated cute.

At the end of the day everyone received the amazing Let It Snow Embellishment Kit.
The box for this kit is gorgeous but Tina added a strip of Real Red for the the belly band and stamped the adorable tag.  This was a big hit and a great way to end our event.

Wrapped in Plaid Class to Go

I know it’s still September but when you are a crafter you have to start working on those Christmas/Holiday items early to get everything done.  Last week I started my Christmas Card Classes.  We make 10 cards in September, October & November — everyone has 30 cards that are ready to put in the mail right after Thanksgiving.  It spreads the work out a little at a time.

Everyone enjoyed the class so much that I decided to offer a Class to Go.  This month’s cards all feature the Wrapped in Plaid Suite.  The kit will include all cardstock cut and prepped to make 10 cards — 5 different designs — 2 of each design.  You will also receive 1/2 package of the Wrapped in Plaid Designer Paper.  You will need the Perfectly Plaid Stamp Set and the Pine Tree Punch along with Cherry Cobbler Stamp Pad, Shaded Spruce Stamp Pad and Night of Navy Stamp Pad.  I also used the Itty Bitty Christmas Stamp Set for words on two cards — you could use the words in the Perfect Plaid Stamp Set.
