Back On Your Feet Slough

I have a friend who has had so many things going “wrong” in her life right now — brand new car totaled in an accident, air conditioning in house broke, son had wisdom teeth out and he got and infection, got new car replacement and the next day the air bags light came on, same day their other car quite working, like I said, one thing after another.  When I made this card, I thought of her — it’s going on her desk this morning as a little pick me up.  The inside of card says “Sometimes that’s all there is to say…and that I’m here for you”.  I love it!!

This “ugly” adorable little slough is from the Back on Your Feet stamp set.  He is so ugly, he’s cute.  I had such a blast with this card.  The Old Olive foil sheet from Noble Peacock Designer Paper is gorgeous, especially when it’s embossed.  You get a little sneak peek from the Holiday Catalog here — the embossing folder is a new one called Hammered Metal 3D Embossing Folder.  I love the texture look you get with it.  A piece of the Noble Peacock Designer Paper was added across the center to look like vines in the tree.  The slough was colored with Stampin’ Blends and for the final touch, I added some Noble Peacock Rhinestones.

I can’t put the Hammered Metal 3D Embossing Folder in the shopping list — that can’t be added until September 4th.  For now you could use the Mosaic 3D Embossing Folder instead.

Come Sail Away Fun Day

I have a super quick and easy masculine card for you today.  I love the Sailing Home stamp set for creating masculine cards.  Just a couple colors of ink and a few stamps and viola — a fabulous card.  Most of the cards I’ve created with this stamp set and designer paper have been shades of blues.  This time I used Mossy Meadow and I love how it turned out.
