Just Because for Mother’s Day

Mother’s Day is right around the corner and I have a fabulous card for you using the Just Because Stamp Set.  My color combo came from the Tea Room Specialty Designer Paper — Bermuda Bay and Crushed Curry.
Isn’t this vase of flowers adorable — what mom doesn’t love to receive some flowers.
I remember when my kids were little and they picked Dandelions for me — nothing better.
I would put them right into a vase to show how important they were to me.

 

Just Because Stamp Set, Tea Room Specialty Designer Paper, Mother's Day, Stamp with Peggy


Measurements:  

  • Bermuda Bay: 5 1/2” x 8 1/2”  — 3” x 4 1/4”
  • Crushed Curry: 2 5/8” x 4 1/8”   —  2 7/8” x 4 1/8”
  • Whisper White: 4” x 5 1/4”  —  2 5/8” x 3 7/8”
  • DSP:  2 1/2″ x 4”              

Instructions:

  • Score 5 1/2” x 8 1/2” Bermuda Bay at 4 1/4″. Cut along score line from top to 2 3/4″.  Turn and cut from fold to edge at 2 3/4″ – creates gate door front.
  • Adhere 4” x 5 1/4″ Whisper White to inside.
  • Adhere 2 5/8” x 4 1/8” Crushed Curry and DSP to Crushed Curry.
  • Stamp flower and greeting image with Memento ink.
  • Color with Stampin’ Blends as shown.
  • Adhere layers (stamped Whisper White to Crushed Curry to Bermuda Bay
  • Attach to front with Dimensionals

Florentine Filigree in Spectrum Color

This card uses the Florentine Filigree stamp set in Spectrum Color!!!!  One last Spectrum Card to share with you.  This card was a blast to make using the Stamparatus.  I cased this one from the internet and thought it showed off the spectrum color.

We put the stamp on the Stamparatus plate – ink the stamp with the Spectrum Pad and stamp, ink and repeat but move the plate down the hinge one time.  Continue until the Whisper White is covered.

In this sample I made sure to keep the stamp pad the same direction.  When I demonstrated at the class, I accidentally turned the ink pad the opposite direction which stamped the Florentine Filigree Blueberry Bushel on one row and Lemon Lime Twist on the next row.

Then we stamped the big medallion twice — once in Bermuda Bay and again with Lemon Lime Twist.  Cut the Bermuda Bay circle using the Layering Labels Framelits.  The Lemon Lime medallion was punched out with the 2″ Circle Punch.  Layer the medallions with dimensionals and add a Glitter Enamel Dot in the center.  Add the banner of words.
