Today is the First Day of Spring

Today is the first day of Spring — that’s right, March 20th is the first day of spring and I think we are definitely ready for it.  The skies are a little bluer and my tulips are peaking through the ground.  When Spring arrives, it means Easter is right around the corner.

Today I have a fun Easter card with soft Spring colors.

Fable Friends Stamp Set, Easter, Gingham Gala Designer Paper, Stamp with Peggy
Don’t you love this adorable this bunny from the Fable Friends stamp set is.  Grapefruit Grove cardstock and Gingham Gala 6″ x 6″ Designer Paper helped give a soft spring feel to the card.   Basic Black mats made everything pop.

So Hoppy St. Patrick’s Day Frog

St. Patrick’s Day has past already but I had to share my So Hoppy St. Patrick’s Day Frog card with you.
Isn’t he adorable and there is plenty of green for the day!!

So Hoppy Together Stamp Set, Amazing Life Stamp Set, Happiness Blooms Designer Paper, St. Patrick's Day
When I started this card, I knew that I wanted to use the Happiness Blooms designer paper and the So Hoppy Together stamp set.  I think the designer paper looks like a field of clovers — which is perfect for St. Patrick’s Day.  We added the frog on the unicycle and added clovers over his head like he was juggling them.
A little fun fold and a circle greeting wishing you a Lucky Day.

I hope you had a wonderful St. Patrick’s Day.
We delayed our Corned Beef dinner to last night but it was still wonderful.

Stampin’ Sisters Retreat 2019 Wrap Up

One final post — Stampin’ Sisters Retreat 2019 Wrap Up.  I’ve shared the projects and a little of the fun.  I wanted to give you a final look at our 2019 Stampin’ Sisters Retreat — gifts they received and a little bit more.
Saturday morning we had a little gift at each person’s spot — everyone received this beautiful note pad.  Tina used the Botanical Butterfly Designer Paper to decorate this — aren’t they adorable.

We held our card swap and contest today too.
We had 64 people participate in the swap — there were so many wonderful cards.

The three winners were Helen, Colleen and Pam.

I love the detail they have in these cards — definitely winners.

We left a special treat at each spot Sunday morning.

Tina baked and decorated a cookie for each guest.
She even decorated gluten free cookies so we could have a treat too – yummy.

With each project we had a “come on down” gift that they used on the project.
Look at all the goodies they received.

Here is the final look at Stampin’ Sisters 2019 Retreat.
My daughter, Katie, is a team member.
She helped Tina and I prepare for our retreat — she cut and prepped most of the projects.
The best part is when she is prepping, she has no idea what the project is.
We give her a sample set of prepared supplies for each project and she prepares the kits from these samples.  She attends retreat just like everyone else and makes each project.
Katie shared this final picture of her bag and all the goodies and projects from the weekend.
Not bad for one weekend of fun.

I would love to have you join me for our Stampin’ Sisters Retreat 2020 – March 6-8.
Just ask me to add you to my email list — sign up is end of June.
It will be here before you know it!!!
