Stampin’ Sisters Retreat: Project 3 Masculine Cards

The first night is over, everyone had a good night’s sleep, breakfast, coffee and are ready to start stamping again.  This project is for the guys in your life.  We made 4 cards (one of the cards is a gift card holder).  Everyone likes that we include one masculine project for our retreat — Classic Garage was the perfect suite for this project.  The Geared Up Garage stamp set, Garage Gears Framelits and Classic Garage designer paper are great for that “manly” feel – dirt, oil and grunge.

Black and Tranquil Tide were a great color combination for these cards.

The bottom half of the card opens for your greeting.

This is the card that holds a gift card — wouldn’t it be perfect for a young man just getting his

license – tuck a gas card inside for him.

Lots of little pieces for the front of this one but I really like how it turned out

All the gears are fun on this one!!

We added designer paper to all 4 envelopes so they look nice too — no plain envelopes here.

Of course the guys like to receive treats too — cookies, candy, peanuts.
We make the perfect box to hold those treats.

Just slide the belly band off to fill the mini pizza box — so fun.

Stampin’ Sisters Retreat: Project 2

Friday night’s Lovely Lattice Sympathy cards went pretty quick so we moved on to Project 2 which is a Birthday Display Board.  Oh what fun this project was.

We found these great wooden clip boards and thought what a fun way to celebrate someone’s birthday.  You could keep this at work and surprise a birthday girl by setting this on her desk so everyone can wish her a Happy Birthday!!!

You could create a page for different months to leave it on display all year — one for St. Patrick’s Day, Easter, Spring, etc.  Wouldn’t that be fun!!!

Come back tomorrow to see what we happened on Saturday.

Stampin’ Sisters Retreat: More Fun!!!

Yesterday I shared the set up for our Stampin’ Sisters Retreat and some of the fun goodies everyone received.  Today I wanted to share a bit more of the fun and then share the first project.

Besides all the goodies in their bags, we do a prize patrol throughout the weekend.  Everyone gets a turn to spin the wheel and they received the prize in the bucket number they won.  Here is my daughter Katie taking her turn.

The prize buckets had stamp set, Take Your Pick Tools, Memories & More Card Pack, Stampin’ Blends, and Paper Snips.
It looks like Katie got what was in bucket #4!!!

We got the evening started with all the explanations of what to expect for the weekend — now they were on to the first project, which featured the Lovely Lattice Stamp Set, everyone received this set in their goodie bag.  The first project was this beautiful set of four sympathy cards and put them in a Clear Acetate Box with a belly band.

Don’t you love the softness of these cards — very elegant and calming.  The envelope flaps were embossed with the Lace Embossing Folder to add a little extra to this card kit.
