Sweet Celebration for Dave

Today is my brother-in-law Dave’s birthday so I have a fun birthday card for him.  It’s definitely not a masculine card but I say one of these jars is filled with Skittles, his favorite candy, so I think it works.

The focus of the card is the How Sweet It Is Suite — Sweetest Thing Stamp Set, Jar of Sweets Framelits and How Sweet It Is Designer Paper.  What a fun, bright and cheery suite — it just makes you smile.  This card was designed by Tina for our Demo Make & Take event (kind of funny, Tina designed this card that I’m dedicating to Dave, heehee).

Sweetest Thing stamp set, Jar of Sweets Framelits, How Sweet It Is Designer Paper
Coastal Cabana — 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ — scored at 4 1/4″

3 different designer paper prints — 1 1/2″ x 4″ each
The candy jars are cut from the designer paper using the coordinating Jar of Sweets Framelits.
Organdy Ribbon Combo Pack — Highland Heather — 1 piece 5 1/2″ and 1 piece 3″

This suite is so much fun — you’ll be seeing lots more of these items!!!

Lovely Lattice with Stampin’ Blends

I love FREE things, don’t you?  Today’s card features the Lovely Lattice stamp set which you can earn FREE from the Sale-a-Bration Catalog when you place a $50 order.  I think this set is absolutely gorgeous with the lace edge of the oval and all the pretty flowers.

Lovely Lattice Stamp Set, Rectangle Stitched Framelits

I stamped the image with Versamark on Vellum cardstock and heat embossed with White Embossing Powder.  Then colored on the backside of the Vellum with Dark Lovely Lipstick and Dark Mossy Meadow Stampin’ Blends.  The Vellum is attached to Petal Pink with Glue Dots in each corner.  I used the new Rectangle Stitched Framelits to cut the opening in the Whisper White layer and attached it with dimensionals.  Using the Whisper White cutout from the frame, stamp Birthday Wishes with Smoky Slate  ink and cut out with smallest Rectangle Stitched Framelit.  Attach the Birthday banner with dimensionals.

Wonderful Romance

Wow, is the best way I can describe the Floral Romance Suite (page 10-11 Occasions Catalog).  I just love the soft elegant look of this suite.  The color combination is great — Fresh Fig, Mossy Meadow and Petal Pink — gives such a feminine look to all of the projects.  Today’s card was designed by my sister Tina for a demonstrator event we held earlier in the month.  Wouldn’t this card be great for an anniversary card or even for a non-traditional Valentine’s Day card.
