I love the Making Every Day Bright stamp set from the Holiday Catalog.  These penguins are just so cute.

December Is Upon Us!!!

Oh my goodness — how can it be December already!!  Are you busy with all the hustle and bustle of the holidays.

My husband, Tony, and I begin our holiday season with a little getaway the first weekend in December.  We go to Cedarburg, WI, which is a little north of Milwaukee.  It a quaint, old fashioned town with many fun, unique shops.  We search out some of those special, hard to find Christmas gifts.  It’s a great way for us to spend a little romantic time for just the two of us before things get very, very busy.  We had a wonderful weekend though instead of snow in December it rained and rained and rained.

Now we are home and I’ve been working away on items for this year’s Santa’s Workshop.  I have ladies coming Tuesday & Wednesday night to make lots of fun little treats for Secret Santa gifts, stocking stuffers, gifts for teachers, bus drivers, mail person, etc.  This year I’ve designed 11 different items that they could choose from.
I’ll share the projects up close later in the week.  Here’s a fun group picture to show you what I’m busy with over the next couple of days.

I have a new Christmas framed art I hope to have finished up tomorrow night too — we’ll see how that goes.  I have 133 of these fun little goodies to finish up first.  Have a happy Monday!!!

Enjoy the Warmth of the Season Farmhouse Frame

Last night was my Christmas Framed Art Class.  They don’t know exactly what they are making when they sign up so the pressure is on to make it something they are really happy with.  I think we succeeded!!  There were lots of squeals when I showed them the project they were making.

I used the white washed frames we used at Fall Fest in October.  It is such an awesome frame and very on trend.  We used five different stamp set and five framelit/thinlits to create our master pieces.

The base is Whisper White (8″ x 10″), then a layer of Cherry Cobbler and Gray Granite.  Next we added Mossy Meadow mats for the Whisper White pieces that were embossed with the Softly Falling Embossing Folder – lots of texture.  Then we started stamping, coloring and die cutting all our pieces and added lots of dimensionals – yes dimensionals are every where.

Once they got started they realized it wasn’t hard to do, just lots of pieces.  I even had one brand new stamper at class and she had a blast and is ready to come and do more stamping with us.
