Santa’s Workshop Framed Art

Christmas Day has come and gone but Christmas isn’t over for my family.  My kids and grandkids are coming to celebrate this weekend and then we have Christmas with my husband’s family on January 6th, so our Christmas decorations stay up for another week or so.  It seems we are so busy preparing for Christmas that we don’t take enough time to enjoy all the decorations.  I added a new framed art to our collection today.  I made this project for a gift exchange at my team Christmas party last week.  It turned out great — even my husband liked it so I had to make one for us.  The project is cased from Lynn Starzl — thank you Lynn — it is perfect.

Santa's Workshop Designer Paper, Santa's Workshop Memories & More Card Pack, Christmas, Framed Art
There is no stamping on this project, most of the images are from the Santa’s Workshop Memories & More Card Pack, the rest are from the Santa’s Work Designer Paper.  This card pack was VERY popular this year — it was on backorder many times and the designer paper sold out early.  If you find you have one sitting around that you didn’t get to, you really want to make this 12″ x 12″ framed art.

Dimensions:

Santa in chair — 2 3/4″ tall x 3″ wide — layered on 3″ x 3 1/4″ Garden Green
Santa on Way — 1 1/2″ x 3 3/4″ — layered on 1 3/4″ x 4″ Poppy Parade
Elf with Train — 2″ x 2″ — layered on 2 1/4″ x 2 1/4″ Garden Green
Snowman — 3″ x 3 3/4″ — layered on 3 1/4″ x 4″ Poppy Parade
Tree — 4″ x 6″ — layered on 4 1/4″ x 6 1/4″ Garden Green — holly leaves are a sticker — presents are fussy cut from designer paper
Elf Thing — 2″ x 3 1/2″ — layered on 2 1/4″ x 3 3/4″ Poppy Parade
Santa and bag — 3″ x 3″ — layered on 3 1/4″ x 3 1/4″ Garden Green — Santa is cut with framelits from designer paper
Mrs. Claus — cut with framelits from designer paper
Elf with cart & presents — cut with framelits from designer paper
Elves with gifts — cut from designer paper — 1 3/4″ x 5 1/2″ — layered on 2″ x 5 3/4″ Garden Green

Everything is attached to 12″ x 12″ Whisper White with dimensionals.

This went together very quickly and turns out so adorable.  I am packing this frame away at the end of the season so I can cherish this year after year.

It’s Christmas Eve and All is Calm???

It’s Christmas Eve, are you ready?  We have some wrapping to finish up and then I think I can say I’m ready — at least for our second and third round of Christmas.

We started with our first Christmas this past weekend.  My whole family were together at my mom & dad’s.  There were 27 of us all together.  It is crazy, chaotic and loud but we have such a good time together.  It is wonderful to see the great grandkids (cousins) playing together.  Here are pictures of the different generations together.

These are our children — David’s son & daughter, my son & daughter, Tina’s son & daughter and Bun’s son & daughter (yes, we each have a girl and boy).  They loved spending time together too.

and the 2 girls on the right are my brother Bun’s granddaughters.
Tina’s kids aren’t married yet and David’s kids are in high school.

I wanted to share one last project from my Santa’s Workshop with you.
My office Kleenex box needed a little revamping.  I thought this was perfect and it lasts all winter long.

Tissue Box Cover

I used the Snowfall Thinlits from the Snowflake Showcase special.  The Softly Falling Embossing Folder gave me the perfect background.

I hope you enjoy all your Christmas Eve activities.  Remember to treasure the memories that are being made.  Time goes by so quickly — savor every minute.
