Bee Thankful

Sometimes it’s good to stop and just be thankful for all the wonderful things you have.  I spent last weekend camping with my husband’s family — there were 20 of us all together.  I so enjoy watching my grandchildren and great niece and nephew all playing together just like our kids did many years ago.  My mom and dad came to the campground Sunday for a couple hours too.  I thank God every day I get to spend with them and my whole family.  I realize it is such a blessing.

I received this card from team member, Sandi Johnson, in a swap.  I think it is perfect to share since the stamp set is Bee Thankful, it shows my gratitude for my family and it has the adorable little bee which you may notice is part of my logo.

String Art Stamping – Birthday & Thank You

String Art Stamping is very hot right now.  I shared with you last month a card I made, I have a couple more for you today.  At my Team Meeting last month we had a swap — anyone that wants to participate designs a card and brings enough to swap with other participants.  It’s fun to see what everyone makes – this swap was funny because my daughter, Katie, and I both used the String Art Stamping Technique.  We used White Baker’s Twine and reinkers to create these beautiful cards.

For my card I used the Subtle Embossing Folder for the background — this is an amazing embossing folder.  I stuck with one color reinker – Blueberry Bushel.

String Art Technique, Birthday

Katie used three colors for her String Art Stamping — Daffodil Delight, Melon Mambo and Bermuda Bay.  Don’t you love the way that looks?  She added two dragonflies to her “flower” image.

Give this technique a try — it’s fun to make different wiggles with the string to see how it turns out.

Butterfly Stained Glass Window

I LOVE this card.  I love the color combo, the butterflies and the soft feel of this card — it brings a peaceful feeling when you look at it.

Graceful Glass Suite, Graceful Glass Vellum Designer Paper
The card base is Coast Cabana with layers of Black.  The stained glass window is the Graceful Glass Vellum Designer Paper that we colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers.  To give the soft look we colored on the backside of the vellum and then attached it to a piece of Whisper White cardstock with Mini Glue Dots cut the flowers and at the top edge.  Then we trimmed with Paper Snips around the edge of the window.

I love how it turned out — what do you think?
