One of a Kind Stamp & Scrapbook Expo

Tina and I spent the day with lots of stamping & scrapbooking crazy people. We taught stamping classes all day in Madison at the One of a Kind Stamp & Scrapbook Expo. We had four different classes during the day and then had a round robin stamp night — eight different vendors designed a project, eighty customers participated in three hours.
This was one of the tables at the Create and Keep session. We had 10 people at our table — 8 different times — a total of 80 people got to make the Olaf Curvy Keepsake Box — What a great time. This picture shows one of the groups all finished up and admiring their Olafs as they wait to move on to the next table.
This woman had so much fun making Olaf and thought we was so adorable she is taking Olaf home and having her husband KISS OLAF!!
What a GREAT DAY!!!

Vintage Snowflakes

I love the look of this card and so did ost of the girls at clas the other night.
The base of the card is Natural Ivery with a layer of Cherry Cobber, Early Espresso and the top layer is again Natural Ivory. I stamped the Christmas Wishes from the Ornamental Pines stamp set with Early Espresso ink. Then I cut out the snowflake using a thinlit from the Snowflake Card Thinlit Dies. I put a layer of Cherry Cobbler behind the snowflake opening. Last I added a strip of Under the Tree designer paper to a strip of Cherry Cobbler cardstock and adhered to the front of the card.
Watch my Blog and email for Stampin' Up!'s Thanksgiving Sale — WOW, you are going to love it. Do you have the magnetic platform for the Big Shot yet? Well Monday is the time to order it — it is on sale 40% off (I think that's the right prices). You are going to LOVE this sale. My list is quite long — SO — COME BACK ON MONDAY so you don't miss out on some fabulous sale prices.

Etch-a-Sketch White Christmas

My sister,Tina, did an Etch-a-Sketch card a couple months ago and I loved it.  I saw this version of it on Pinterest and decided it was finally time to do one in class.

White Christmas Etch-a-SketchThe card base is Real Red.  I cut the square out using the Project Life Cards & Labels Framelits — it gives nice rounded corners for our Etch-a-Sketch.  I used Smoky Slate for the inside and stamped it with the White Christmas stamp set.  I know a real etch-a-sketch doesn't have colors but I just had to add the little Merry Christmas banner in Real Red ink.  It just made it pop a bit.  Last I added the drawing knobs — 1" circles of Whisper White cardstock raised up with a dimensional.

Give this card a try — it is lots of fun and brings back lots of childhood memories.
