Cabin Fever Stamping Fun and Smores

Cabin Fever — what is it???  For me it was a day filled with 29 fabulous stampers and 2 team members and Smore Makers!!!  Oh my gosh what fun we had.  Team members, Katie Campbell and Cyndi Hogan and myself invited guests to spend the day with us.  We started with a warm welcome to everyone, a little goodie bag with some chocolate in it and to use to store their completed cards.  We moved on to stamping presentations — Katie demoed the Lots of Love Box Thinlits.

She showed everyone how quick and easy it is to make great little treat boxes for every occasion.

I showed everyone the two wonderful kits that are in the Occasions Catalog — Perennial Birthday Project Kit — page 16 and the Lots of Happy Card Kit — page 15.

We designed 10 cards for them to make.  They stamped until about noon and then we had a break for a prize patrol, provided lunch, another prize patrol.

Here is one side of the room as they are busy stamping away.

After lunch Cyndi demoed the Brusho Colours, many had not used it yet so they loved seeing this demonstration.

This time I shared the Sale-a-Bration Springtime Foil and how to color it with Stampin’ Blend Markers — so much fun.

Here’s a card sample I shared with them.  It was for a bridal shower I attended yesterday.

The flowers are colored with the dark Pink Pirouette Stampin’ Blend Marker and the leaves with dark Old Olive Stampin’ Blend Marker and then “fussy” cut with Paper Snips.  I love the copper accents with the Blushing Bride cardstock.

After these demos they went back to stamping and more prize patrols.

We even had Smore Makers for everyone to make.  I mean what is better than a warm smore when you have Cabin Fever, right!!!!  Check out our station – so much fun.

Cabin Fever, Smores Roasting
Isn’t this the cutest thing ever!!!
Of course roasting over a campfire is the best but when it’s March and cold outside
this is definitely the next best thing.
The room smelled wonderful — love that roasted marshmallow smell.

I’ll be sharing the fabulous cards over the next few days.  I hope you’ll come back to join me.

Wood Texture Mosaic Birthday

Mosaic Masculine Birthday Card — sounds intriguing, right!!  Often times, masculine cards are tough to design.  You go Blop Hopping or to Pinterest or Goggle to find something to get you started.  Sometimes that is all you need and away you go.  But sometimes you see “THE CARD” and you know that you have to make it just like that.  That’s called CASE-ING a card.  Well, today I have a CASED card to share.  My sister, Tina, did a card last month at one of her classes and when I saw it I knew that I had to case this card.

My dad and brother and my husband and son are into woodworking.  They all like to build furniture and turns bowls.  My husband carves ducks, fish, nativity scenes and lots of other things.  So this card just fit my entire family of men.  The card uses the Wood Texture Designer Paper.  This is such realistic paper — it is a must have for everyone.  The designer paper is matched with the Tailored Tag Punch and here is what you get.

Perennial Birthday Stamp Set, Wood Texture Designer Paper, Masculine, Mosaic, Birthday
You just punch out the different wood grains and attach them to a 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Early Espresso — trim off any edges hanging over, wrap Linen Thread around, tie a knot.  Stamp Happy Birthday from Perennial Birthday Stamp Set with Early Espresso ink, add three pearls that are colored with the Bronze Stampin’ Blend.  Then attach to the card base with dimensionals.

It’s a bit scary as you start laying down the punched wood pieces but once you get going it’s a lot of fun.  I hope you enjoy making it too.  Give it a try with all different designer papers.

Friendship’s Sweetest Thoughts

Are you ready for a cart full of spring flowers?  I sure am.  Friendship’s Sweetest Thoughts stamp set is just perfect to help set the tone for your spring cards.  I just love this market cart filled with beautiful spring flowers.

Friendship's Sweetest Thoughts Stamp Set, Thinking of You, Spring
This was a fun card to make — just stamp the cart with Memento ink and then do a little coloring with Stampin’ Blends.  I love coloring with these markers — there are no streaking lines.  I am still learning how to shade better but just straight coloring is fabulous — it looks awesome every time.
