Stampin’ Sisters Retreat – Project 1

I’ll share more of the Stampin’ Sisters Retreat Fun later but right now let’s get into the projects.  We started Friday night with a card set using the Amazing You Sale-a-Bration stamp set.  Everyone received this stamp set in their picnic basket.

Amazing You Card, Stampin 'Sisters Retreat
They made six card all in Daffodil Delight and Night of Navy color scheme.  Each card had some of the Night of Navy Gingham Ribbon.  We had a “come on down” and everyone received their own roll of the ribbon.  How about a close up of each card.

The “celebrate” is cut with the Celebrate You Thinlit which are a Sale-a-Bration item.  This card is perfect for many different occasions.

We added the Layered Leaves Embossing Folder to the background of this one and a little fussy cutting on the flowers.

The third card has more fussy cutting but look how adorable all those flowers are.

More texture here with the Layered Leaves embossing folder.  The “amazing” is also from the Celebrate You Thinlits.

We made our own designer paper on this one by stamping lots of the flower image with Daffodil Delight ink.  I love the little bow in the ribbon.

This final card has lots of starbursts and one last fussy cut flower.  The flower was filled in a bit by using a Blender Pen and spreading a bit of the Night of Navy ink.  Both “amazing” and “YOU” are from the Celebrate You Thinlits.

I hope you come back tomorrow for Project 2 — some fun masculine cards.

Stampin’ Sisters Retreat — Day 2

My daughter Katie helped cut and prep supplies for our Stampin’ Sisters Retreat, but she doesn’t know what our final projects are.  We cut one set of everything and she gets those cut pieces to use as her samples to cut the other 92 sets.  Then she attends our retreat just like everyone else.  It’s fun to watch her face as she sees each project.  She said she hated Project 3 and never wanted to see it again — hahaha.  Then when she did Project 3 it was one of her favorites — you’ll have to come back later to see that project, but it was a fun one.  At every stamping event we go to, Katie has to take a selfie of her and I.  Here is our selfie from this event.

It really was a family affair, my husband Tony came Saturday morning and sharpened scissors for those that needed it.  Here he is hard at work.

Ok, back to retreat.  Saturday morning we had a gift at each person’s spot.  We had a travel mug engraved with our Stampin’ Sisters logo.  It is a fabulous mug — kept ice all day long.

We host a card swap/contest for anyone who wants to participate — 70 people participated.  We collect one card from each participant and put on a display board and everyone votes on their favorite.  We had three winners.

Stampin' Sisters Retreat, Lunch
We had a wonderful Italian lunch buffet — they even made gluten free pasta for a few of us.
I love the special attention to detail that the hotel does for us.  Isn’t is pretty!!!

Stampin' Sisters Retreat, Shannon West
We had a special guest in the afternoon — Shannon West from Stampin’ Up!
Shannon does many of Stampin’ Up!’s You Tube videos.
It was a great surprise for the participant — many have seen her in the videos so they were excited to talk to her and tell her all about what they love about our retreat.

I think that’s it for today.  Come back tomorrow to see more fun.

More Friday Night Stampin’ Sisters Retreat Fun

After we greeted everyone and got them settled in Tina and I disappeared to get ready to truly get them in the picnic spirit.  We came back into the room like this.

Seriously, what grown ups dress like this but everyone loved it and it did set the mood for our picnic fun.
We even played a game throughout the whole weekend so everyone could win a prize.
What game fits a picnic theme???
Ants in the Pants Game of course.

We couldn’t forget our team members.
We had 23 team members join us.
