Merry & Bright Christmas Fun

This is a quick, simple but fun card that makes me want to sing!!!  It used the Festive Phrases stamp set — such a fun set and it is on the Retired List so it will be gone soon.  I paired the stamp set with the Merry Music Specialty Designer Paper which has plenty of music notes to help me with the singing (heehee).  I tipped the Real Red square for a diamond shaped backing and added a strip of Gold Washi Tape from the Year of Cheer Washi Tape package.

Let It Snow – Merry Little Christmas

I know I should probably have used a  different title for this post.  Our weather in the midwest has been very fall like — temps in the mid 50’s and higher some days but it looks like winter is trying to blow its way into the area over the next couple of days and temps drop to around freezing.  It is December 5th after all — I wouldn’t mind seeing a little snow about now to help everyone get into the holiday spirit.  This card has a soft elegance about it with a little texture from the Softly Falling embossing folder and the Silver Metallic Thread.

Blessed Christmas Wishes with Night in Bethlehem

I have fun making cute, whimsical Christmas cards but I also enjoy and need some religious cards.  The real reason for the season after all is the birth of Jesus.  The Night in Bethlehem stamp set is perfect for those special cards.  This card tells the story of Joseph & Mary’s travels to the city of Bethlehem quite well.

This one doesn’t take long to cut — just a bunch of stamping.

Night of Navy – 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ — score at 4 1/4″
Marina Mist – 4″ x 5 1/4″
Whisper White – 3 3/4″ x 5″ — stamp images with Night of Navy ink.  I started with Joseph & Mary, city, star, greeting and filled in with snowflakes/stars.
Whisper White – 3 3/4″ x 5″ inside — I stamped the big greeting and shepherd inside with Night of Navy ink
