Deck the Halls — what???  That’s right, another Carols of Christmas stamp set.  This is such a great stamp set that I had to share it again this past week at class.  Don’t you love the background — surprise — it’s the Marbled Background stamp.  It’s one that hides in the catalog and you “fly” right past it but it is so worth the money as many at the class can agree with.  Anyone remember the “old” shaving cream technique from years ago — this background stamp kind of looks like that but it is so much easier to do and NO MESS.

A Little Wild — Just a Note

Today’s card is “Just a Note” to say THANK YOU ALL for your prayers and support for my sister, Tina.  Her back surgery went very well.  She is in the hospital for a couple days yet but she is doing great.  She was up and walking a little bit last night when I was visiting her.

I used the A Little Wild stamp set — so cute.  There is a bear, a lion and an elephant stamps in this set and each animal is double sided — both front and back of animal on one stamp.  Why you ask?  Well, there is a coordinating framelit to cut out each animal set — then you can fold it in half to make a little card tag for a package — or cut it apart and put the animal front on the front of the card and the back of the animal on the inside of the card.  It was so much fun to play with.

Crushed Curry – 4 1/4″ x 11″
Black – 4″ x 5 1/4″
Pick a Pattern designer paper – circle piece — 3″ x 3 3/4″
Pick a Pattern designer paper – stripe piece — 2″ x 3 3/4″
Black Twine – 10″ — fold in half and attach over designer paper
Black – 3″ x 3″ – cut circle with Layering Circle Framelits
Crushed Curry – 3″ x 3″ – cut scallop circle with Layering Circles Framelits
Whisper White – 2 3/4″ x 2 3/4″ – cut circle with Stitched Shapes Framelits

Life is Better with Friends

Life is Better with Friends — I think this is so true, don’t you!!!
This card is for my sister, Tina, who is having back surgery today — please keep her in your prayers.  She posted last night how she feels so blessed to have so many friends and so much support as she goes through this.

Tranquil Tide stamp set, Friends

The stamp set I used is Tranquil Tulip, which is a Host Exclusive stamp set.  That means you can only order this stamp set when you host a class, party, book party or place an order yourself of at least $150.  It is an amazing stamp set and so much fun to use.  It is a two-step stamp which means one layer stamps right over the other layer — look at the dimension in these flowers — beautiful.

Calypso Coral – 4 1/4″ x 11″ — score at 5 1/2″
Early Espresso – 3″ x 5 1/4″
Pear Pizzazz – 2 3/4″ x 5″
Whisper White – 2 1/2″ x 4 3/4″
Pear Pizzazz 3/8″ Shimmer Ribbon – two 5″ pieces (I use first ribbon and attach ends to back off layers then tuck the second ribbon under the first and tie a knot — quick and easy “cheater bow”)
