Melon Mambo Super Woman

Everyday Hero
I've been pulling out stamp sets I haven't used yet before the retired list comes out next week.  Everyday Hero is one I have wanted to play with for awhile but just haven't pulled it off the shelf.
Well, it is time.  Thanks to Erica Cerwin for the fabulous design.
This card immediately made me think of a special person so I had to switch the colors out to her favorite color combo and I added You're Incredible to the front because this person is amazing!!!

High Tide Framed Art

I love making framed art pieces.
Today I used the High Tide stamp set to create a fabulous piece of art that is quick to make.  I put the finished picture into a 9" x 9" black shadow box frame — so much fun.
This is a gift for one of the teachers at the school I work — we are birthday buddies.
Actually a day apart but close enough.
Shortly after I started working at the school my husband and I went to Door County for a long weekend in the summer.  We rented mopeds and drove around for the day and we ran into Tom and Shirley.  They love to go to Door County too and when I made this picture it made me think of that trip and running into them so this gift is for Tom.
High Tide Frame
I used Island Indigo with Black and White accents.
The wood grain pieces are from the Serene Scenery designer paper — I thought this was the perfect finishing touch and added a masculine flair to the picture.

Happy Birthday Tom — I hope you like this!!!

Birthday Blast

When a new catalog comes out there are stamp sets that just grab my attention and I know that I have to have it, especially if there is a coordinating framelit set.  Well the Birthday Blast Bundle did exactly that — grabbed my attention, I had to have it and then the poor thing sat on my shelf.  I FINALLY used it this weekend to make some special cards for team member accomplishments — I can't share that card with you yet as I just put them in the mail so that card will have to wait a few days BUT here is a fabulous card we did at a demo event my sister, Tina, and I held right after the catalog came out.
