February Scrapbook — Love is in the Air

I love giving scrapbooks as gifts — especially for new babies.  It makes the momma’s life so much easier.  I have pages for each month of the year.  The baby doesn’t have to coordinate with the color scheme of the pages — momma just takes pictures of her baby (which of course we all do anyway), print out a few favorites and slap them on the page for that month.  It is pretty quick and easy and a GREAT way to keep those memories.  Baby will be able to look at his/her book for many, many years to come.

Here is the first page for my February layout.

The base of my pages is Blushing Bride with Rose Red accents.
I added 3″ strips of the Falling in Love designer paper.
Rose Red and Very Vanilla for the picture mats.
Add a few stamped hearts from the Sealed with Love stamp set.
One final touch — I cut out a Rose Red heart using the Love Notes framelits
and of course don’t forget the Black cupid arrow.

Beautiful Day!!!

What a beautiful day it was yesterday!!!

I left early for a meeting at work,
as I went up the street I saw the sunrise.
It was beautiful — I pulled out my camera —
I just had to take a picture (I was at a stop sign — all was good).

My work day was busy and went by quickly.
After dinner at home I went to my stamp area
to work on a class for the weekend.  My husband,
Tony, went out to his woodworking shop to finish
up some storage pieces he's been making for me.
Here he is bringing in the first one.

He made me three of these bookshelf units.
All have wheels so they can be rolled together
to create a big work surface while keeping me
neat and organized (I do need help in this area —
I tend to be a "piler").  All three units are in
place and for now I filled them with the stuff that
was piled on the floor.  Now I have to get it
all organized — may need some pretty baskets
to put smaller things inside.

On to stamping — Wednesday night was this year's
first Scrap & Go Class.  We get together February
through November — each month we make two
12" x 12" scrapbook pages — February and November
we actually make three so at the end of the year
we have pages to cover every month.
We have a great time as we stamp/assemble and visit.

Here is the page we made for January.

I used the Snow Place stamp set.
I haven't used this in such a long time.
I especially love the penguin.

Super Duper Day

I loved this Super Duper stamp set the minute
I saw the sample in the Occasions Catalog.
To me it is just so bring & cheery!!!!

The designer paper is from the
Cupcakes & Carousel designer paper pack.
The colors in the card are pulled from
the designer paper — such a great color combo.
Super Duper
1. The banner on the card is stamped twice.
Ink the stamp with Early Espresso and
Tangerine Tango markers and stamp onto the
3 3/4″ x 5″ Very Vanilla cardstock.
2. Color the small squares and diamonds in the
design with Bermuda Bay marker.
3.  Ink stamp again with markers, stamp on scrap
of Very Vanilla cardstock
(don’t worry about the outside portion this time
as you are cutting out the center)
