Happy Birthday Shaker Card

Happy Birthday America!!!
I guess I should have made this card in Red, White & Blue.
Today’s card is a birthday shaker card that uses the Confetti Celebration stamp set.
I love making shaker cards and Stampin’ Up! has made it a whole lot easier with a brand new product — Foam Adhesive Strips.  I love these things.

Confetti CelebrationThe card base is Crumb Cake — 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″
Next a layer of Pool Party — 4″ x 5 1/4″

Bermuda Bay strip — x 1 5/8″ x 5 1/4″
I used the Serene Scenery designer paper stack — lots of great scenery paper and the opposite site has great designs — so cool.  This strip is 1 1/2″ x 5 1/4″

Bermuda Bay square — 3″ x 3″
I used the Layering Circles to cut a hole in the center.
Whisper White square — 2 7/8″ x 2 7/8″
Lay the White layer under the Bermuda Bay layer (don’t attach yet) and stamp the greeting with Stazon ink — color in with Bermuda Bay marker.

Window Sheet square — 2 7/8″ x 2 7/8″
Attach this to the back of the Bermuda Bay square with Snail.
Then take one strip of the Foam Adhesive Strips and run
around the circle on top of the window sheet.

I used scraps of Crumb Cake and Pool Party cardstocks
and the Sprinkles punch and punched the little pieces into the center
of the foam circle.  Peel the backing off the foam adhesive and attach the White stamped layer (stamped image towards the window sheet).
Now attach the shaker to a Crumb Cake square 3 1/4″ x 3 1/4″.
Attach this to the card.
Viola — you are done.

Love & Affection

Love & Affection — that’s what’s on my mind today (heehee).
Actually, it’s the name of a new stamp set and it’s what we used for today’s card.
Another great item used is the Affectionately Yours Specialty Paper.
I just love the Copper accents in this paper.

Love & AffectionWe started with a Watermelon Wonder base — 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″
Then a few layers (I do love the layers).
Early Espresso — 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″
Very Vanilla — 3 3/4″ x 5″
Early Espresso — 3 5/8″ x 4 7/8″

Then we add that fabulous Affectionately Yours designer paper
Watermelon Wonder design — 1 1/4″ x 3 1/2″
Copper design — 2″ x 3 1/2″

A 2″ Early Espresso circle
Very Vanilla circle cut using the Layering Circles framelits.

The banners are:
Very Vanilla — 3/4″ x 3 1/4″ — trim banner end with Paper Snips
Watermelon Wonder — 7/8″ x 3 3/8″ — trim banner end with Paper Snips

On to some stamping:
stamp the flower image on the Vanilla circle with VersaMark and pour on Copper embossing powder — heat with the Heat Tool.

Repeat this same process stamping the greeting and tiny flower
and emboss with the Copper embossing powder.
Assemble the card adding dimensionals under the
Early Espresso circle and the right side of the banner.
I did put a little snail on the left side of the banner.

Falling Flowers

Falling Flowers — have you checked out this bundle yet.  Remember, you save 10% when you purchase the products in their bundles.  I love to save money on something I love.
I used the Falling Flowers stamp set and the coordinating May Flowers Framelit.
This was a favorite color combination at the class.  I’ve used it a couple times already.
It’s the new In Color, Sweet Sugarplum with Smoky Slate and Whisper White — love it.

Falling Flowers
The card base is Sweet Sugarplum — 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″
Next a layer of Smoky Slate — 4″ x 5 1/4″
Whisper White — 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″

We stamped the flower image with Smoky Slate ink and color in with Blender Pens and Pear Pizzazz and Sweet Sugarplum stamp pads.

Then I cut out the leaf from Pear Pizzazz cardstock.
The flower is cut from Sweet Sugarplum.
I attached these with the Fine Tip Glue and added a pearl in the center of the flower.
