Sagrada Familia

It is so fun to go back through pictures from a big vacation.
When you are busy taking pictures you don't realize
how truly beautiful something is.

On the first day of our trip, we arrived in
Barcelona, Spain about noon.
Tony had arranged for an afternoon tour of
the city.  A driver picked us up from the
airport and away we went.

Not only did we have our own personal driver
but we also had a personal guide to tell us all
about the city.

There was so much fabulous architecture all
around us.  This is one of our stops — we didn't
get to go inside, but we walked all around it.

Here is Tony and I sitting in front of
Sagrada Familia.  Oh my goodness, how
beautiful and detailed this building is.

Sagrada Familia
There are carvings all around the building,
like the 12 Stations of the Cross.
Frog
This was one of the display board samples from the ship.
This frog is so cute.
Don't you must love him.

What a Trip!!!

We are home from our wonderful Mediterranean Cruise!!!
It was amazing.
I have been asked a few times in the last two days,
"What was your favorite part?"
That is hard for me to say.
I was most excited about going to
Rome and Vatican City.
I did love it, but it wasn't what I expected.
It was beautiful but very, very crowded.
It was hard to stop and admire it or
to just stop for a moment of peace.
We did get to go down under St. Peter's Basilica.
We saw where many Pope's are laid to rest.
We saw John Paul I burial site and
we couldn't get close but we saw
St. Peter's burial site — it was lit up and
so gorgeous – we weren't allowed to take
pictures there.  Then we went upstairs
and saw where Pope John Paul II is.
Truly an amazing place to be.
I think my favorite — or at least one of my
favorite places was Montserrat in Barcelona.
I will show a few pictures and descriptions later.

For now I wanted to share just a couple of fun
things about our trip.
First — the towel animals that we found in
our room each night.  We lined them up and
took a picture of all of them on our last night.
Towels
We had a dog, frog, elephant, bunny, hanging monkey and a cute little mouse in a cup.  I loved going back to our room each night to see what was there.

Besides the adorable animals left each night, there was a pillow gift from Stampin' Up! left on our bed.
Check out all the fun new product and giftees that we received.
Pillow Gifts
Truly amazing how much we were spoiled.

We met my sister, Tina and her husband each night
before dinner for a drink.
Check out the fancy drink Tony had one night.
Drink
So adorable and that shaped stayed through the whole drink.

I'll share more over the next few days.
Right now it's time for bed — a bit jet lagged right now.
