Much Appreciated Daisy

Last night was my Stamp of the Month Class
featuring the Helping Me Grow stamp set.
Everyone attending received the stamp set to keep.
This was my favorite card that everyone made — it's
a nice clean, simple card.

Daisy logoThe card base is Thick Whisper White.
We stamped the cute little corner stamp with
Memento ink — love this little corner stamp.
I added a panel of Basic Black and a piece
of the Botanical Gardens designer paper.
Then another layer of Black.
The next layer is Hello Honey and
we used two stamps from Timeless Textures
with Hello Honey ink to give the cardstock
a little texture look to coordinate with the
designer paper.
We inked up just the one daisy with Memento
ink and stamped on a 2" circle of Whisper White.
We colored the center of the flower with
the Delightful Dijon marker.
This is attached to a Black circle cut using
the Circle Framelits (did you see these are
on the retiring list).
After everything is attached we added a strip
of Everyday Chic Washi Tape.

I got to make one last week at On Stage.
It's a great kit — have you signed up to receive it yet.
You get a half hour escape from reality every month.

Helping Me Grow

Tonight I have my Stamp of the Month Class.
This month we are using the Helping Me Grow
stamp set.  I saw this card on the display boards
at On Stage earlier this month and loved it.
I had my cards designed when I found this picture
and this card is just too cute not to share.

Helping Me GrowThe base of the card is Pear Pizzazz – 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ score at 4 1/4″
Next is a layer of Basic Black — 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″

Then a layer of Whisper White — 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″

I love the addition of Botanical Gardens Washi Tape.
I’m always trying to figure out when to add washi tape.
This example is perfect — love it.

Only a portion of the daisy is stamped with VersaMark ink
and embossed with White Embossing Powder.
The flower is colored in with Hello Honey marker and
a light touch of Calypso Coral ink in the center  of
the flower with a Sponge Dauber.

The pretty label was stamped on Hello Honey cardstock
with Hello Honey ink.  Much Appreciated was stamped
in the center of the label with Memento ink.
The label was cut out using the Rose Garden Thinlits.
If you don’t have this set of thinlits you MUST order them
even if it’s just for that pretty label frame.
The label is attached with dimensionals and don’t
forget to add a little bling with some Rhinestones.

April Showers

April showers bring May flowers.
That’s how the old saying goes, right.
Well, I am ready for those beautiful flowers.
Today’s card features the Garden in Bloom stamp set.

Garden in Bloom logoThe card base is Watermelon Wonder.
I love the swirly on the left side — just use your
Black marker and squiggle away.

A sticky note or scratch paper was placed across
the center for a mask and flowers were stamped
all around the Whisper White layer,
starting with the flower and leaf outlines stamped
with Memento ink.  Next stamp the insides
of the flowers and leaves with Wild Wasabi
ink for the leaves and So Saffron, Delightful Dijon
and Watermelon Wonder for the flowers.

Remove the mask from the center of the card,
stamp the greeting with Memento ink
and don’t forget to add the butterfly.
The butterfly puts the finishing touch on the card
with the Rhinestone for the head.
