Thanks — Giving

I've been working on Christmas cards — I know it's early but you do have to start working on them early so they are ready to be mailed out, right.
So today I thought I would share a Thanksgiving card instead.
This card features the Lighthearted Leaves stamp set.
I think I like the sayings in this stamp set as much as the images.
Tina 4Let Our Lives Be Full of Both THANKS and GIVING.
Isn't that just perfect.
I love the colors on the leaf.  This card was designed by my sister, Tina, for a demo event we held last month.  She stamped the leaf with Memento ink on Very Vanilla cardstock and then used markers to color it in — it is so beautiful.  Use the coordinating Leaflet Framelit to cut it out.  She used the Into the Woods ribbon for the banners.

Thank you Tina for such a lovely card.

Precious Moments Angel

I grew up with Precious Moments character.
I still love that sweet, innocent look.
Stampin' Up!'s Christmas Cuties stamp set — the angel — reminds me of those Precious Moments characters.
I think this set is so sweet and the angel is just perfect for some holiday cards.
AngelFor this card I used "non" Christmas colors.
The card base is Wisteria Wonder.
I added a banner of Elegant Eggplant — punched the banner end with the Triple Banner Punch.  Add a doily to give it a little lacey look.
The angel is stamped on a piece of Shimmery White cardstock that is 2" x 4 1/4".
I punch the top end with the Ornate Tag Topper Punch.
I stamped the angel with Stazon ink and colored in with markers
(Wisteria Wonder for her dress, So Saffron for her hair and hallo)
I used a Blender Pen and Rich Razzleberry for her sash and Blushing Bride for her face and hands.  I tied a piece of White 1/2" Seam Binding Ribbon in the top of the tag and adhered to the front of the card with dimensionals.

I can't wait to make a card with the dancing elf and the little snow boy — so cute!!!

Sleigh Ride

The Jingle All the Way stamp set and coordinating Sleigh Ride Edgelits
have been favorites with my stamping ladies lately.
This card was made by fellow demonstrator Cathy Sontag.
I love how she combined the Sleigh Ride Edgelits with the Delicate Ornament Framelit.
The Silver Glimmer cardstock just sets it all off.
Cathy S SwapThe card base is Night of Navy cardstock with a layer of WhiteWhite.
She stamped Silent Night (from the Jingle all the Way stamp set) with Night of Navy ink and then embossed it with the Softly Falling embossing folder.
She used the Sleigh Ride Edgelits to cut the horse and sleigh from Whisper White cardstock and the row of trees edgelit and Silver Glimmer cardstock to cut the next layer.  Adhere the White horse and sleigh layer to the trees silver glimmer layer.
With the Delicate Ornament Framelit cut an ornament from Night of Navy cardstock. Cut out the ornament topper from Silver Glimmer cardstock.  Adhere the sleigh and trees layers to the Night of Navy ornament and  trim the edges.
Adhere to the card front with dimensionals.  Attach a piece of Silver Cording Trim to the ornament top.
