Helping Me Grow Pink Daisy

After this month's Stamp of the Month Class
I wanted to go outside and pick a bunch of flowers.
Unfortunately our weather isn't cooperating to
let me do that so the cards will have to do for now.
This is the final card from my class which featured
the Helping Me Grow stamp set.

Pink Daisies logoThe card base is Basic Black — 5 1/2" x 7 1/4"
Score at 4 1/4".
Add a layer of Pink Pirouette 2 7/8" x 5 3/8"
Then a layer of Shimmery White 2 3/4" x 5 1/4".

Stamped the daisies with Archival Black.
We colored them in using the Aqua Painters and
Pear Pizzazz, Pink Pirouette and Rose Red inks.

We added some dots from Gorgeous Grunge
stamp set and Smoky Slate ink (stamped off).
I wanted just very light dots.

We stamped the cute label on Pink Pirouette
with Black ink and cut out with the
Rose Garden Thinlit.
Stamp Sweet Friend with black ink
and attach with dimensionals.

Hyacinth, Maybe??

Yesterday’s post said Lilac — send me your thoughts.
Well, I heard back from my flower and tree expert, Rorie.
She says this pretty flower is a Hyacinth and I
believe she is right.  It is a pretty flower no matter
what it is, so here is another card using that stamp.
The set used is Helping Me Grow.

Thank You Lilacs logoWe started with Wisteria Wonder card base.
We added layers — Basic Black, Pear Pizzazz and
Whisper White.
We stamped the flower with Memento ink
and colored in with inks and Blender Pens or
Aqua Painters.
We stamped THANK YOU with Memento
on Wisteria Wonder cardstock and punched
out with 1 3/4″ Circle Punch which is layered
on a 2″ circle of Pear Pizzazz which is
layered on black that is punched using the
2 3/8″ Scallop Circle Punch (retired list).
We added a banner of Pear Pizzazz that was
punched on both ends with the Triple Banner Punch.

Lilacs???

I'm not much of an expert on flowers except
I like to look at pretty ones.
Here's another card from the Helping Me Grow
stamp set.  I'm not sure but I think these might
be lilacs??  If I'm wrong leave a comment to
correct me (Rorie??).
This time we didn't color the flowers in,
just left the outline in Wisteria Wonder,
what a perfect color for these flowers.

Much Appreciated logoThe card base is Thick Whisper White with a
layer of Wisteria Wonder and then Whisper White.
We used Wisteria Wonder ink to stamp the
dots at the top and left edge and then to
stamp the flowers.
We stamped the label with Wisteria Wonder ink
on Wisteria Wonder cardstock, stamp the
greeting with Memento ink.
We cut the label out with the Rose Garden
thinlit.  We wrapped a piece of
Wisteria Wonder 1/2" Seam Binding Ribbon
(this is retiring — get it now) around the
card before attaching the Wisteria Wonder
layer to the card base.
Add the label with dimensionals.

This card is pretty quick — I can't wait
to mail out some of these thank you cards.
