Butterfly Basics

Flowers, butterflies and spring colors
are very calming to me.
Today’s card was another card I saw on the
display boards at OnStage.
This card features Butterfly Basics and
the Brick embossing folder — a great combination.

Butterfly BasicsThe card base is Whisper White with a layer of
Sahara Sand.  Next they stamped the ferns on a
Whisper White layer — some with Lost Lagoon
and others with Mint Macaron.
As you can see in the picture, some are stamped
twice to get very light fern leaves.

Next the stamped piece is put in the Brick embossing folder
and put through the Big Shot.  A Sahara Sand marker was
used to color the grout between the bricks.

Butterflies were cut out using Bold Butterfly Framelits
and Butterflies Thinlits.  These two sets coordinate
great to give you multiple layers for your butterfly.
Don’t forget to add Pearls down the butterfly body.

The frame from Helping Me Grow stamp set
was stamped with Lost Lagoon ink and the
words are from the Butterfly Basics stamp set.
The frame was cut out using the framelit
from the Rose Garden thinlits.

Botanical Hello

I love using my Big Shot and all of the
wonderful framelits and thinlits that
Stampin’ Up! carries.  Today’s card features
one of my favorite flower items.
These pretty flowers were cut out using the
Botanical Builders Thinlits.
I really like this color combo too — Calypso Coral
So Saffron, Soft Suede and Temping Turquoise.
Check it out — there’s no stamping on this card front.
It’s all Big Shot!!!

Botanical Hello logoThe card base is Calypso Coral with a layer of
Whisper White and then a layer of the Fancy Foil Designer Vellum.
The gold diagonal stripe coordinates well with the Soft Suede.

Next is a layer of Whisper White that has been embossed
using the Softly Falling embossing folder.
Hello is cut from Soft Suede using the Hello You Thinlits
and attached to the card front using Fine Tip Glue Pen.

The flowers are cut out and added to the card front
in different layers with dimensionals added here and there.
And the finishing touch is a couple of pearls added
for flower centers.

What an adorable card!!!

Awesomely Artistic Lots of Labels

I took tons of pictures at On Stage last week.
One of my favorite stamp sets in the current Annual Catalog
is Awesomely Artistic.
You can create such beautiful cards.
Just out this one I saw on the display boards.
Awesomely Artistic logo
I love how soft this card looks.
The card base is So Saffron with a layer of
Crumb Cake that have been stamped with the
small splotches stamp from the set and Crumb Cake ink.

Next they cut out two layer of the Lots of Labels framelits.
One in Basic Black and one in Whisper White.

The pretty flowers are stamped in the corner of the
Whisper White label with Memento ink — they also
stamped Friend with the Memento ink.

A butterfly from Papillon Potpourri stamp set
was stamped with Memento ink and colored in
with the Calypso Coral marker.
A little bling was added on the butterfly.

This card is great for many occasions,
just to tell someone you are thinking about them.
