Happy Birthday Robin!!!!

Today's card is for a special friend, Robin!!!
It's a special birthday this year and I wanted to be
sure she knows it's TIME TO CELEBRATE!!!
Time to CelebrateThis card uses the Party with Cake bundle.
It is the stamp set and the coordinating framelits
which help make the card extra special.

The card base is Blushing Bride with a layer of
Whisper White that was embossed with the
Decorative Dots embossing folder.
We used Love Blossoms designer paper to create
the banners down the front.  Don't forget
to add a piece of the Early Espresso 1/2" Seam Binding
across the middle.

We inked up the stamp with Early Espresso and
Blushing Bride markers.  We used the
Project Life Corner Round Punch on all four
sides of both the Whisper White and the
Early Espresso layers and attached with
dimensionals.

Now check out the inside:
Time to Celebrate Inside
I love how the cake POPS right out of the card.
Don't you love the sparkle for the cake plate — that's
Blushing Bride Glimmer Paper.
We sponger Blushing Bride over the Happy
and Crumb Cake over the Birthday to
help it pop out a bit more.

I hope Robin enjoys this card
and I hope she has the BEST
birthday ever.
Happy Birthday My Friend!!!!

Rose Wonder Happy Birthday

This is the final card we made at my Stamp of the Month Class
which featured the Rose Wonder stamp set.
The attendees could add the coordinating Rose Garden
thinlits to get the bundle price if they wanted to.
We used the Rose Garden thinlit on this card.
Thank you Jackie Bolhius for the inspiration for this card.
Happy BirthdayWe started with Shimmery White cardstock.
This cardstock is perfect for watercoloring and
helps give your projects a little sparkle and shine too.

I added a Basic Black mat — 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″
Then another layer of Shimmery White — 3 3/4″ x 5″

I stamped the rose and leaves on the Shimmery White layer
with Archival Black ink — you want to use this ink
so it doesn’t smear when you watercolor the image.

Then I used my Aqua Painter and
Rose Red and Wild Wasabi inks to color in
the rose and leaves.  I was able to get a bit of shading
on the rose with just the Rose Red ink but I did add
a little Garden Green to my leaves to darken a few
little areas.

Next I used the speckle stamp from
Gorgeous Grunge and the black ink to
lightly stamp a few flecks on the card.

Then I took a second piece of Black cardstock and
used the framelit to cut out the rose and leaves.
I used the Fine Tip Glue to attach this over the
stamped image.  This little bit completely changes
the look of the rose and makes the outline bolder.

I used the label framelit from the Rose Garden thinlits
and Shimmery White cardstock to cut out the label.
I stamped Happy Birthday with the Black ink.

I used the Silver Thread and looped it a few times
and attached it to the back of the label with
dimensionals and attached to the front of the card.

I love the look of this card, don’t you?

Rose Wonder You’re in My Thoughts

Today’s card was fun to make.
It’s a great card to send to anyone to let them
know you are thinking about them or
it’s also a beautiful sympathy card if you need one.
I cased this card from one I saw that was made by Connie Babbert.
Thanks for the inspiration Connie.
Thoughts & PrayersI used the Rose Wonder stamp set on this card.
The base is Bermuda Bay (I love this color) 4 1/4″ x 11″ — scored at 5 1/2″.
Then a layer of Pool Party 4″ x 5 1/4″ — I embossed this with the
Elegant Dots embossing folder.
I used the Circles Collection Framelits to cut out a
Whisper White circle.  I stamped You’re in My Thoughts & Prayers
with Memento ink.  I used the little flower from
Number of Years stamp set and Watermelon Wonder ink
to add a few little flowers on the circle.

I stamped the leaves with Mossy Meadow ink
on Pear Pizzazz cardstock and cut out with Paper Snips.

I stamped the small flower from Rose Wonder three times
with Watermelon Wonder ink on Blushing Bride cardstock.
These flowers are cut out with Paper Snips.

Then I stamped the flower three more times on
So Saffron cardstock with Watermelon Wonder ink
and cut out with Paper Snips.  I cut out just the
small center of the flowers.  I attached these
little flowers to the Blushing Bride flowers
with a double layer of Glue Dots.

Don’t forget to addPerfect White Accents
to the center of the So Saffron flowers.

This card definitely makes me think of Spring.
