Bumblebee in the Flowers

This month's Stamp of the Month Class features the
Garden in Bloom Stamp Set.
This card was from a convention swap and thought it would be a
good way to start the week out.
BeeThis card was an inspiration for one of the cards we are doing in the class.
I just love the little bee in this stamp set.
The base is Thick Whisper White cardstock with a layer of
Delightful Dijon and Soft Suede.
The flower outlines are stamped with Soft Suede ink.
Then the inside flower was stamped with Delightful Dijon that was stamped
off for a lighter shade.
The label in the center was cut using the Tags & Labels Framelits.
The cute little bee was stamped, punched out and adhered to a
scallop circle.  Take a piece of the Gold Thread and wrap up (or ball up) and
and stick to the back of the scallop circle.  Adhere to the card front using dimensionals.

Don't forget this month's special gift is a tutorial using the Garden in Bloom stamp set.

Every Blessing

Have you started thinking about Christmas yet?
How many Christmas cards do you send out?
Everyone would love to receive a hand-made Christmas card this year,
so let's get started now to ease the stress.
Many of us like to send some religious cards for Christmas — after all, that's what the season is all about.  This card features the Every Blessing stamp set.
Every BlessingThe card base is Night of Navy with a layer of Whisper White.
I stamped the Bible verse at the bottom of the card with Night of Navy ink.
I added a piece of Night of Navy 1/2" Seam Binding Ribbon and a piece of
1/4" Silver Ribbon across the center of the card.
I stamped the shepherds and sheep image with VersaMark ink and
used Silver Embossing Powder to heat emboss it.
I used the Deco Labels Framelits to cut out the stamped image.
I added a circle of Silver Foil cardstock behind the Deco Label and
"popped it up" with dimensionals.  Last I added a star that was punched from the
Silver Foil cartdstock and also "popped up" with a dimensional.
How many of these cards are you going to make!!!

Vintage Leaves

Summer's not over yet — in fact it's very hot here in Illinois right now.
But it is time to start thinking about fall cards.
My inspiration for this card came from my son-in-law Scott.
He sent me a text on Sunday showing me a card that he stamped with my
daughter, Katie Campbell, who is also a demonstrator.
I tweaked his card for my class by adding a little more color and I used
the Vintage Leaves stamp set.
Fall ThanksThe card base is Blackberry Bliss.
I added a layer of Delightful Dijon and Very Vanilla.
I cut an oval opening in a "scrap" piece of Very Vanilla cardstock using the
Oval Collection Framelits.  I sponged Delightful Dijon, Tangelo Twist and
Blackberry Bliss ink inside the open.  I mounted four of the Vintage Leaves
on one large block.  I remove the Vanilla mask and stamped the leaves
with Early Espresso ink over the oval.
I used one of the new Expressions Natural Elements (thin wooden words).
I sponged Early Espresso ink on the wooden Thanks and adhered it to the
card with glue.  Are you ready for fall weather now — I know I am.
