You Make My Heart Smile

This card is perfect for the first day of school.
By day, I work in a Catholic High School.
(I'm the bookkeeper/office manager/business manager)
Today is the first day of classes for all of our students.
It's nice to see the halls filled with excited young adults
and it makes me smile just to watch them.
Heart SmileThe card base is Thick Whisper White cardstock.  I added a strip of
Basic Black that I embossed with the Boho Chic Embossing Folder.
The designer paper is from Everyday Chic.  I used the label framelit
from the Tags & Labels Framelit set to cut a hole in the center of the designer
paper.  Next I had a smaller square of Melon Mambo and I used the next
smaller label framelit to cut a hole in the center.  I adhered the Melon Mambo
piece to the back of the designer paper.  Next I laid this onto the white rectangle
and stamped the words from Timeless Love stamp set in the center of the opening using Stazon ink.  I stamped the flower from Crazy About You with Melon Mambo ink and punched it out with the coordinating Flower Medallion Punch.

Bomb Pop

Summer is almost over so I thought I better hurry and share this card.
We made this at my Big Shot class Monday night.
My sister, Tina Rappe, made this card last month (inspiration came from Erica Cerwin) and I fell in love with it.  It was a perfect card for the Big Shot Class which featured the Tags & Labels Framelits.  This card was a favorite for most of the ladies at class.

Bomb PopThe card base is the Thick Whisper White.  I added a layer of Basic Gray.
I used the Elegant Dots to emboss the Island Indigo and Watermelon Wonder strips.
I stamped "Just as Sweet as can be" from the Sweet Stack stamp set with Watermelon Wonder ink on a strip of Whisper White cardstock.

For the Bomb Pop — I adhered Island Indigo and Watermelon Wonder cardstocks to a piece of Whisper White and then used the 1 1/4" and 1" tag framelit to cut the top and bottom edges.

Untitled
The ladies loved this trick.  Put the Bomb Pop over the flat end of the tag and then under the scallop edge.  When you run it through the Big Shot it will cut only the scallop edge.  Pretty cool.  I used dimensionals to raise the skinny pop onto the wider pop and then dimensionals again to adhere the pop to the card.

Thank You Flower

Rich Razzleberry and Delightful Dijon are a fabulous color combination.
Last night was my Big Shot Class featuring the Tags & Labels Framelits.
Thank YouMy card base is Delightful Dijon.  I added a strip of Farmers Market designer paper on the right side.  I stamped THANK YOU from Another Thank You stamp set with Rich Razzleberry ink.  I used the Triple Banner Punch on another Farmers Market designer paper and adhered this banner across the card front.   We used the Tags & Labels Framelits to cut out tags for the card front — Rich Razzleberry, Delightful Dijon and Very Vanilla cardstock.  I used markers to ink up the flower pot from Gifts From the Garden stamp set.
