Today is my nephew's birthday — Happy Birthday Brian.
Here's a card just for him (don't think he checks my blog).
The card base is Cucumber Crush — I'm starting to like this new In Color a little more. It's a bit brighter than what I normally use but it pairs together very well with the
Watermelon Wonder and the Cherry on Top DSP.
I used Deco Labels to cut out the Bermuda Bay and Whisper White labels.
I was already using the Cucumber Crush ink on another card so we used
Versa Mark — when was the last time you used your Versa Mark stamp pad
(I mean when you aren't using embossing powder)
Remember Versa Mark gives you that tone on tone color when you don't have the color you wanted to use. Stamp the cupcake base on Cucumber Crush cardstock with the VersaMark pad — cut out. Stamp the "frosting" with Chocolate Chip ink on Chocolate Chip cardstock and punch out with the coordinating Tree Builder Punch.
I added one of the In Color Blossom Accents to the top of the cupcake and I added
a Rhinestone in the center of the blossom for a little more "zing".
Every Cloud Has a Silver Lining
Some days things just don't go right.
Here's a card to have on hand for just that occasion.
Keep a supply of cards in your desk at work or handy at home.
When you see someone having a tough time, write a quick little
I'm thinking of you inside this card and cheer up their day.
The card base is our new Thick White cardstock.
No more wimpy cards that won't stand up when you have lots of layers.
This stuff is awesome.
I added layers of Watermelon Wonder and Smoky Slate.
The images are stamped on our regular silky, smooth Whisper White cardstock.
I added a Silver Glimmer Paper cloud under the stamped Smoky Slate cloud for some added dimension — it almost looks like it is really raining.
Go make this card quick and cheer someone up today.

Lucky Friend
Monday night was my Stamp of the Month Class.
This month we used the Sprinkles of Life stamp set — have I told you how much
I love that stamp set. Well last night all of the ladies agreed — it is the BEST
Ronald McDonald House stamp set yet. So many possibilities with it.
This is one of the cards we made. The base of the card is Tip Top Taupe.
I added a layer of Rich Razzleberry and Very Vanilla on top of that.
I embossed the Very Vanilla with the Elegant Dots embossing folder.
I cut a piece of Rich Razzleberry 2" x 5 1/4" and used the new
Triple Banner Punch to create the banner end.
Then I cut a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock that is 1 3/4" x 5" and created
another banner to layer right on top. I added a piece of the 2014-2016
In Color Washi Tape across the top.
The tree is stamped with Tip Top Taupe on Tip Top Taupe cardstock and punched out using the coordinating Tree Builder Punch (another must have).
I stamped the little flowers with Crushed Curry ink on Crushed Curry cardstock and punched out. The flower stems and leaves are Old Olive ink. I used Old Olive ink again for the tree leaves on Old Olive cardstock — punch out.
Don't forget to stamp your apple with Real Red ink on Real Red cardstock and punch out. The words are stamped with Tip Top Taupe ink.
Assemble your card — don't forget to add plenty of dimensionals — you know that always help any card.
