Here's another fun project we made at the Big Shot Berry Basket Die Class.
This time we made the basket from Crumb Cake cardstock and the scallop trim at the top of the basket is Pool Party. We added half of a doily to the top of one side. We used the Polka Dot cardstock from the Irresistibly Yours DSP (remember only 4 days left to get this DSP package FREE — then it will be gone forever). I sponged the bunny's body and paws of his feet with Pool Party ink. I also sponged the center of his ears with Pool Party. I added whiskers from pieces of White Baker's Twine that I gathered together and tied in the center. The whiskers are put on the bunny face with a glue dot and a heart nose is put on top of them. Of course I can't resist google eyes, they just make the bunny come alive. Another great Easter basket to fill.
Peep Basket
I love this time of year for all the Easter candy especially PEEPS — I LOVE them. I know most adults hate them but I just love them. Unfortunately I can't have them this year. The doctor put me on a "healthy eating" plan for health reasons (YUCK) so I can't have sugar but I still want them. I was at Walmart tonight picking up some candy for my grandchildren (I know, bad grandma). I couldn't believe all the flavors the peeps come in — that's just wrong, peeps aren't suppose to taste like anything but sugar. Anyway……I made this basket at the Big Shot class earlier this week.
The basket is cut from Stampin' Up!'s Coaster Board. It is nice and thick & sturdy — I'll be able to put plenty of treats in this basket. I lined the basket with one of the Best Year Ever DSP sheets — so cute, I love those colors. I added a couple of Calypso Coral bows on the sides. I stamped a tag made from the Ornate Tag Topper Punch and stamped the chick from Cheerful Critters — such a cute stamp set. I added the For Peep's Sake to the chick and I'm putting a Peep in the bag with the tag on it. So cute!!! This was a very fun project to make.
Berry Basket Card
This month's Big Shot Class featured the Berry Basket Die. I wanted to show them something besides making a basket. I saw this card layout on Pinterest and my sister, Tina Rappe, did one like it at class last week. This was exactly what I was looking for. I tweaked it just a bit to make it my own. I am happy with the final result.
The flowers are from Petal Potpourri. The Bloom tag is from For Peep's Sake — told you I love that stamp set. I added a Subtle Candy Dot to the center of the So Saffron flower, an Itty Bitty Accent Epoxy Sticker to the center of the Crisp Cantaloupe flower and a pom pom from the Pom Pom Trim to the center of the Coastal Cabana flower. Thanks Pinterest and Tina for the inspiration.
