Happy Thanksgiving & Black Friday!!

I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving Day.  My day was spent with family and was a great day.  We ate too much, played with the little ones and scoured the Black Friday ads.  So, did you go out in the crowd early this morning.  Not me this year — I will go out mid-day just to get the tradition of Black Friday and the whole holiday season started.  Just doesn't seem like Christmas if you don't go out and do a little Christmas shopping.

I will spend most of the day designing for next weekend's Christmas Buffet.  I'm a bit behind this year — but I will get finished up today.  I design 10-12 gift items to make for family and friends.  I post out the pictures, descriptions and quantities available.  My customers sign up in advance for the items they wish to make — then next Thursday & Friday we have classes where they come to make the gift items they chose — so much fun and we all love to give hand-made items.

Here's a little sneak peek of what I have started.

Jimmy Duranti SnowmanThis little guy is SO ADORABLE — he holds a piece of chocolate inside — I used a York Peppermint Patty inside mine.  What a great little Secret Santa item to leave on a co-workers desk.

Keep watching for more fun ideas.

Banner Pocket

Banner PocketThe banner kit in the Holiday Catalog is FABULOUS!!!  There are stencils in the kit that you can use to decorate the banner panels with stripes, polka dots, or chevrons.  There are even alphabet stencils so you can spell out a child's name and put the banner panels in a frame to hang in a little girl or boy's bedroom or play room.  This time though I used two of the banner panels to make a pocket to put a little treat in.  Wouldn't this be cute for St. Nicholas Day next week.  You could tuck a couple of goodies right in here.
