October Card Sketch Challenge

It’s a new month so it’s time for my October Card Sketch Challenge with a new Template to work with. We had a record number of participants in September — YAY!!! Congratulations to September’s winners — Shirley Peterson, Kristen Seidel and Nancy Sears — they earned a little shopping spree from me. Now we have a new template to work with.

I had a request for Thanksgiving cards so I started with the template and designed a fall Blessed Day card. I used the Autumn to Remember Stamp Set for the trees and Unbounded Love for the greeting. The background and banner are from the Sweet Days of Autumn Designer Paper. Such a fun card.

After finishing my sample I shared another Fall/Thanksgiving card I made using this template and the More than Autumn Bundle. I LOVE the colors on this card and am so Grateful it’s finally PIE SEASON — so much fun. I used Pretty Peacock and Lost Lagoon cardstock. Don’t you love the “dollop” of whipped cream — so cute.

Then I shared one more card using the new template and Christmas Friends Stamp Set. I just love this stamp set and the Snowflake Sky 3D Embossing Folder.

Card Base — 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ — score at 4 1/4″

Scrapbook Challenge using October’s Card Sketch Challenge Template

I didn’t want my scrapbookers to feel left out so for the first time this Card Sketch Challenge Template also works for Scrapbook layouts. Here is my 2-page layout for Fall — I need to add some die cut leaves and maybe a couple of word groupings but I wanted to start with the initial template for all you scrapbookers out there. I would LOVE to have you participate in this month’s Sketch Challenge!!!

Measurements for Scrapbook Layout
Green Designer Paper — 2 pieces — 3″ x 10″
Brown checked Designer Paper — 2 pieces — 6″ x 12″
Fall trees Designer Paper — 2 pieces — 4 3/4″ x 6″
Early Espresso Mats — 4 pieces — 3 1/2″ x 5 1/2″
Basic White Mats — 4 pieces — 3 1/4″ x 5 1/4″

I hope you’ll join in the fun for October and design a card using my template. Post a picture of your card on my Facebook Stamp with Peggy VIP Group. Let’s see how many fabulous cards we can get.

Peaceful Season Framed Art

Today’s project was one of our Stampin’ Sisters Holiday Hoopla projects. This adorable Peaceful Season Framed Art was designed by my sister, Tina Rappe. She used the A Little Bit Festive Mix & Match Designer Paper which has tons of die cut pieces to work with. Tina used one of the designer paper pieces for the background, then added layers of Real Red and Basic White for the die cut backgrounds. We used the Peaceful Season Stamp Set for the two greetings stamped in the center and bottom left. Our guests all received a package of the Real Red & White Adhesive Backed Peppermints.

This was definitely a favorite project by everyone. It was fun to see the different variations as people added different die cuts. Some added a teddy bear die in the center of the wreath — it was so cute.
