July’s Card Sketch Challenge Template

It’s time for a new challenge — here is July’s Card Sketch Challenge Template. My card is a Red, White & Blue them that is perfect for July birthday cards or to share for a 4th of July card.

As you can see on the template, the top, left corner is open space to put a stamped image or die cut. I decided to use the Round We Go Die to make a rosette for that space.

The rosette die makes a pretty large rosette — this white rosette is full size — 3″ across.

I wanted a smaller rosette for my card, so I cut two pieces of the designer paper with the Round We Go Die, then I trimmed the width of the rosette strips to about 1 1/8″. This gave me a rosette that is approximately 2 1/4″ across which fits well in the open space on the card.

I mounted the rosette on Azure Afternoon that was die cut with Stylish Shapes Die. Each of the small squares are cut with the smallest Stylish Shapes square die.

The greeting was stamped on a Stylish Shape banner die that I trimmed off.

The second card rosette strips are trimmed to 1 1/4″ creating a 2 1/2″ rosette which filled the Azure Afternoon square a little more.

Unbounded Beauty Memories & More Card Pack

Today I have three cards we made using the Unbounded Beauty Memories & More Card Pack. This card pack has 3″ x 4″ and
4″ x 6″ pre-printed cards that are great for quick scrapbooking but, also make gorgeous cards that are quick and easy to complete.

At my Coffee, Cocoa & Cards Class last week, everyone received a full package of the card pack and a package of the 2024-2026 Adhesive-Backed Resin Dots and made 6 fabulous Fun Fold cards with plenty of cards left to make more cards at home.

Card #1

The first card uses one of the 4″ x 6″ Memories & More cards that was cut down to use as background designer paper. Next, flower outlines were stamped on the Peach Pie Memories & More card and added the greeting from Flowers of Beauty stamp set was added with Peach Pie ink. The 2024-2026 In Color Adhesive Backed Resin Dots are the perfect finished touch in the center of the flowers. These adhesive-backed dots come in two sizes (4mm and 6mm) and feature the trendy In Colors — Peach Pie, Petunia Pop, Pretty in Pink, Shy Shamrock and Summer Splash,

Card #2

The second card pulls Peach Pie and Petunia Pop cardstocks from Grateful for You Memories & More Card Pack. Embossing the larger Peach Pie piece with the Dashing Designs 3D Embossing Folder added a little texture to the card.

A smaller piece of Peach Pie was added to inside of the card so the front of the card flows.

Card #3

The final card today has a center “Z” Fold making it fun and unique. I cut one of the Memories & More Cards into 2 pieces which are added on each side of the card like designer paper.

The designer paper can be seen on the right side as the card is opened.

Here is a top view of the Center “Z” Fold.

Bistro Burger Easel Card

It’s summertime and the weekend is here and that means lots of cookouts. Here’s a fun Bistro Burger Easel Card using the Bistro Burger Stamp Set with coordinating dies. I started with Early Espresso, Cajun Craze, Basic Beige and Basic White. A couple strips of the Take to the Sky Designer Paper added a tablecloth look — maybe it’s a family reunion event?

The card looks like a regular card you take it out of the envelope but wait, the front panel folds to create an easel for the fun hamburger. The front panel of your card serves as the base for the easel. It’s where the magic begins!

The hamburger is stamped directly on the Basic White and coloring with Stampin’ Blends. Wait, don’t forget the dill pickle — it’s stamped, colored and die cut — a little more depth to the picture.

Early Espresso — 4 1/4″ x 11″ — score at 2 3/4″ and 5 1/2″; 3 1/4″ x 3 1/4″; 3/4″ x 4″
Cajun Craze — 4″ x 5 1/4″; 3″ x 3″
Basic Beige — 2 pieces — 4″ x 5 1/4″; 1″ x 3 1/4″
Basic White — 2 7/8″ x 2 7/8″; 1″ x 2″
