Petal Park for Mother’s Day

This week’s Facebook Live featured Petal Park for Mother’s Day projects.  I made my own designer paper with Petal Park Stamp Set.  I started with a
5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ piece of Basic White cardstock and stamp images in Daffodil Delight, Lemon Lolly, Granny Apple Green and Mossy Meadow stamp pads.  Then I cut it up to use as designer paper!!  So much fun.

I found a fun box of Little Debbie Lemon Mother’s Day Cakes and knew I needed to make a box to turn them into a special gift to share with all kinds of Mother’s.  Of course I needed to make a coordinating card for the gift box.

The lemon cakes are about 1 1/4″ x 4 1/2″ — smaller than I expected but a nice size for a cute box.

My “hand-made” designer paper is so cute on the card front.  The greeting is from Perennial Postage Stamp Set (this is on the Last Chance list so be sure to grab one before they are gone.

Don’t forget a cute greeting on the inside for those of us with few words to say.

Delightfully Eclectic Just a Note

As the Annual Catalog is winding down it’s fun to play with items that will be leaving like this Delightfully Eclectic Just a Note Card.  The Delightfully Eclectic Designer Paper has a huge variety of colors and designs to help make card designing an easy thing to do.

Filled with Happiness Stamp Set, Modern Oval Punch, Delightfully Eclectic Designer Paper, Brushed Brass Butterflies, Stamp with Peggy

The designer paper is the main focus of the card but the Filled with Happiness stamp set is equally as fun.  I stamped the greeting first with Crushed Curry ink on Basic White, then punched it out using the Modern Oval Punch. I punched the Modern Oval Punch again but with Basic Black cardstock strop this time, but cut the Basic Black oval in half horizontally to adhere above and below the stamped image.  Next I stamped the greeting again but using Memento ink on a strip of Basic White cardstock that is 1 5/8″ long.  I trimmed close to the words on the top and bottom, then adhered it to a 3/4″ x 1 3/4″ Basic Black strip.

The designer paper pieces are adhered to Basic Black, then Crushed Curry and then to card front.

This layout would be great with all the designer papers and a larger greeting stamp set.

Latte Love Magic Card

I love fun fold cards, especially unique ones like today’s Latte Love Magic Card featuring the Latte Love Bundle and A Little Latte Designer Paper.  The front of the card is adorable with a coffee pot and coffee beans waiting to be brewed while a full cup of coffee waits to be enjoyed.  Hello There, let’s catch up is such a cute phrase making it the perfect card to send to someone you haven’t seen in a while.

But wait, there’s so much more!!  The tab says pull and when you pull it up, tada, the empy coffee pot is now full of coffee.  Don’t you love it!!!  It reminds me of the play coffee pots or baby bottles we played with when I was little — oh the memories.

In this picture, you can see the pull up card out completely, showing the beans that show through the empty pot and the pot full of coffee.  This is such a fun card to make and is much simpler than it seems.

Don’t forget to decorate the inside of your card too.  Aren’t those coffee splotches adorable!
