Adoring Hearts and Big Hugs

Today I have a fun card for Valentine’s Day filled with Adoring Hearts and Big Hugs.  The new Adoring Hearts Hybrid Embossing Folder embosses and cut the cardstock at the same time, adding fun, elegant hearts to this project.  I also used two Sale-a-Bration items — Most Adored Specialty Designer Paper and Softly Sophisticated Embossing Folder.  You definitely want to add both of these items to your Wish List and earn them FREE with qualifying orders.

 

Adoring Hearts Hybrid Embossing Folder, Perennial Postage Stamp Set, Most Adored Specialty Designer Paper, Rainbow Adhesive Backed Dots, Baker's Twine Three Color Pack, Valentine's Day, Love, Stamp with Peggy

 

 

Measurements:

  • Flirty Flamingo – 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ – score at 4 1/4″; 2 1/8” x 2 7/8”; 2 1/2″ x 2 1/2″
  • Smoky Slate – 4” x 5 1/4″; 2 1/8” x 4 7/8”; 2 1/4″ x 3”; 1 3/8” x 1 3/8”
  • Basic White – 2 pieces – 3 7/8” x 5 1/8”; 2” x 2 3/4″; 1 1/4″ x 1 1/4″
  • Most Adored Specialty Designer Paper – 2” x 4 3/4″
  • Baker’s Twine Three Color Pack – Flirty Flamingo – 3 pieces – 7”; 2 pieces – 8”

Instructions:

  • Fold Flirty Flamingo card base on score line
  • Emboss one 3 7/8” x 5 1/8” & 2” x 2 3/4” Basic White with Softly Sophisticated Embossing Folder
  • Adhere larger Basic White to Smoky Slate
  • Adhere Designer Paper to Smoky Slate, then adhere to embossed Basic White
  • Wrap 3 – 7” pieces of Flirty Flamingo Baker’s Twine beside Designer Paper and adhere ends to back of Smoky Slate
  • Hold 2 – 8” pieces of Flirty Flamingo Baker’s Twine together, tuck under twine on card front and tie small bow
  • Adhere to card front
  • Adhere smaller embossed Basic White to Flirty Flamingo, then Smoky Slate
  • Emboss and die cut a heart using the Adoring Hearts Hybrid Emboss Folder/Die
  • Adhere heart to embossed Basic White – attach to card front with Dimensionals
  • Stamp “big hugs” with Smoky Slate at bottom of 1 1/4″ x 1 1/4″ Basic White
  • Adhere to 1 3/8” x 1 3/8” Smoky Slate, then adhere to card front tucking under heart layers
  • Add Rainbow Adhesive Backed Dots – Flirty Flamingo color
  • Adhere second 3 7/8” x 5 1/8” Basic White inside card

Panda Friends & Rock Legend Kits

OH MY GOSH, Stampin’ Up! announced TWO new Kits this month — Panda Friends & Rock Legend Kits and they are both awesome.  The colors are bright and cheery and they are perfect for Valentine’s Day, birthdays or any occasion.  There is no stamping for either kit, but they have pre-printed greetings and lots of fun dies and embellishments.  These kits are great to do with your children or grandchildren. They are also awesome for anyone who needs cards in a hurry but doesn’t have a lot of time.  All supplies are included in each kit though I would add a Stampin’ Seal Adhesive in place of the Mini Glue Dots that are included in the kit.

I just love these Pandas and I know my granddaughter will too — she is crazy about pandas.  She’ll be able to whip this card kit together in no time.

We have a few guitar players in my family (husband, daughter a little, two grandsons and my granddaughter is trying it a little too) so these cards will be perfect for them for birthday or Valentine’s Day.

Fluffiest Friends Rocker Card

Today’s card is a fun Fluffiest Friends Rocker Card to help you get ready for Valentine’s Day.  I used Sale-a-Bration Paper — Most Adored with the Fluffiest Friends Bundle and Bee My Valentine Stamp Set.  I’ve seen the rocker cards for awhile and decided it was perfect for the adorable bear from the Fluffiest Friends Stamp Set.  I added adorable little bees coming out of the bee hive to coordinate with the You’re as sweet as honey” greeting.

Basic Black — 6″ x 6″ — Die cut with second largest Deckled Circle Die – score in half
4″ x 4″ — Die cut eighth largest Deckled Circle Die;
5/8″ x 3 5/8″
Most Adored Designer Paper — 6″ x 6″ — Die cut with third largest Deckled Circle Die – cut in half
Basic White — 3 1/2″ x 3 1/2″ — Die cut with ninth largest Deckled Circle Die;
1/2″ x 3 1/2″; 6″ x 6″ — Die cut with third largest Deckled Circle Die — cut in half
Crushed Curry — 2″ x 2″
