August Card Sketch Challenge

During last night’s FB Live, I shared my August Card Sketch Challenge Template
and a fun card using the Trucking Along Stamp Set with the One Horse Open Sleigh Designer Paper.

I wanted my card to have a Fall feeling to it and the Farm Fresh Truck filled with sunflowers
gave me that feeling.  The Sending You Sunny Thoughts sentiment works great for most occasions.

Keeping the sunflower theme rolling, I added three sunflowers inside the card.

AND don’t forget to decorate your envelopes!!
I stamped the truck side rails so it looks like a crate of sunflowers in the corner of the envelopes.
That made a fun addition to surprise the recipient.

Designer Paper #2 — 1 5/8″ x 2 5/8″; 1″ x 2 1/4″

 

Here is the same card sketch turned portrait with different papers and my focal point is a circle this time instead of a rectangle.  This card has only one mat layer, so the designer paper pieces are a little bigger.

Summer Splash – Masculine One Sheet Wonder

My final project for Summer Splash – Masculine One Sheet Wonder Card Set
featuring the Glorious Gingham Designer Paper which was an Optional Add-On Class.
They receive half a package of the Glorious Gingham Designer Paper and a package of the
Rustic Adhesive-Backed Dots plus the template to cut one 6″ x 6″ of paper into pieces
to make these 5 cards.  It’s such a great way to create a stash of cards that are neutral
enough for any of the guys in your life.

The greeting is punched out using the 1 3/4″ Circle Punch and adhered to a 2″ circle of Pecan Pie.

Card 2 is embossed with the Metal Plate 3D Embossing Folder.

A simple Happy Birthday showing off the Glorious Gingham Designer Paper.

I made a second set of cards using the Pretty Peacock gingham paper with
Lost Lagoon and Pretty Peacock bases.  The look of the cards changes a lot when you change the colors.

Summer Splash — Cheerful Daisies

This was my favorite optional class at Summer Splash — Cheerful Daisies Note Cards with Gift Box.
The cards are just stamps, paper and ink but they are simply stunning and make a fabulous Hostess Gift.

Each card uses White Craft ink for the daisies — you have to be a little careful with this ink as it
dries slower than our regular inks so you need to give it time to dry before stacking cards.
Everyone received a package of the Kraft Notes Cards & Envelopes which comes with the box to hold cards.
They also received a package of Linen Thread and Neutrals Adhesive-Backed Sequins.

The first two cards had the greeting stamped directly on the card.
Aren’t the flowers gorgeous!!

I cut up extra Kraft Note Cards for the stamped layers and the greetings.
The note card kit comes with 20 cards and envelopes and my box held 6 cards so I had lots
of extra note cards to be able to cut some apart.  I can always use the extra envelopes to make
a mini scrapbook album – they are so fun.

The Linen Thread was a fun touch to the cards.
