Dashing Deer Meets Joyous Noel

We’re aren’t close to winter yet but our temperatures took a big nose dive today.  We’ve dropped about 35 degrees from Tuesday to today.  The colder temps remind us that winter and the Christmas season aren’t that far away so I thought I would share another Christmas/Holiday card with you.  The Dashing Deer set has some very elegant pieces that coordinate so well with the Joyous Noel Designer Paper.  I love the copper accents in the designer paper — this print incorporates the deer from the stamp set.  The Subtle Embossing Folder gives a great texture to the card.  I stamped the floral image at the top and bottom of the Gray Granite cardstock and then ran it through the embossing folder.  A nice accent across the center is the Merry Merlot & Copper 5/8″ Reversible Ribbon — one side is more Merlot color and the other side has more copper — so pretty.

Toil & Trouble Scrapbook Pages

Last night was my Scrap & Go Club.  Since it’s October, we did Halloween themed pages and used the Toil & Trouble design paper along with the Cauldron Bubble stamp set.  The color on the pages popped and the Cauldron framelits worked great with the designer paper — cutting out the images was a breeze.

On the second page we stamped a little more adding some dark mist under the witches hat and three fun ghosts floating on the page.

Wishing You Well Season’s Greetings

Today I wanted to share a Christmas card we made at Stamp & Go Club last week.  We used the Wishing You Well stamp set which has a pretty fine line wreath.  The image is quite subtle but the highlight of the card is the bow.  This stamp is detailed enough that is truly looks 3-D.  It was fun to watch each guest when they sat down at the table to make this card.  They thought it really was a ribbon bow — love it!!!

I really went outside of my box and used Lovely Lipstick and Granny Apple Green, definitely non-traditional Christmas colors, at least for me.  I saw this beautiful layout by Sharon Armstrong and knew it would work perfect for this Christmas card.  The Tufted Embossing Folder gave the perfect textured background.
