Thanksgiving Pumpkins

Do you page through a Stampin’ Up! Catalog and a stamp set jumps out at you and you think, no, don’t need that set, but it’s there every time you go back to the catalog.  Well, it happens to me all the time.  This time it was the Pleasant Pheasant stamp set.  There was something about that set that just called my name.  I think it’s because my dad and brother used to go pheasant hunting and this set makes me think of my dad.  Yes, I finally gave in and purchased it and I am so glad I did.  Here is a card we made at Stamp & Go Club last week.

Pleasant Pheasant Stamp Set, Burplap Stamp, Thanksgiving, Fall
I didn’t use the pheasants this time, I used the wagon full of pumpkins.  The Burlap background stamp gave the card a great texture look and the leaves around the inside piece finished things off.  I stamped the wagon with Memento ink and colored in with Stampin’ Blends (I love to color with these markers).

September Scrapbook Pages

I hope you had a fabulous weekend and you did some stamping on World Card Making Day (Saturday).  We spent the weekend with my parents and my mom helped me cut and prep supplies for my Fall Fest event coming up in two weeks.  I didn’t actually stamp but I was crafting.

I realized I never shared last month’s Scrap & Go Club pages.  Since September is the start of fall I wanted pages to show the change from summer to fall.  We used the Country Home stamp set and “sunshine” using the Sunshine Wishes Thinlits.  The crumb cake distressed strip is from the Tranquil Textures Designer Paper — it gave a fun wood texture look to the pages.  The Eastern Medallions Thinlits worked great for the sunflower.

I love the pot of sunflowers from the Many Blessings stamp set.  We stamped it with Memento ink and colored it using Stampin’ Blends.

Batty For You Matchbook Treat Holder

Have you noticed yet that it’s been a week of treat holders!!  You should have some great ideas to get you started on those Halloween goodies.  I LOVE this one.  I used the Trick or Tweet stamp set — this elephant with bag wings is adorable.  The Stampin’ Blends are my favorite for coloring — makes it super simple to color.  The green in the Toil & Trouble Designer Paper is paired with Gorgeous Grape and Black.  I have a little bag of gummy bears stapled inside the matchbook.
