You’re Inspiring Happy Birthday

The past couple of days the temperature has been 50+ degrees and it definitely makes me think of spring.  This card shares that same feeling with the beautiful lillies.  This swap card says Happy Birthday but it would also be a wonderful Easter card.  The card base is Marina Mist with a piece Sweet Soiree designer paper and a little glimmer with the Myths and Magic Glimmer paper.  The 1/4″ Whisper White Organdy Ribbon has been colored with So Saffron stamp pad.  The flowers and the pearls are colored with Stampin’ Blends (love those blends).

Sending Heartfelt Thoughts

Sale-a-Bration is more than half over already.  Have you earned the Heartfelt Blooms stamp set yet?  It is definitely a must have stamp set — it is so beautiful.  I received this card in a swap and just loved how she made the flower image as the focal point but making her own designer paper with one flower in the center and then making a border around that.  She added a Glitter Enamel Dot in the center of the main flower.  The greeting is stamp and punched out with the Tailored Tag Punch and then the edges sponged with Berry Burst ink.  She added a piece of the wonderful Berry Burst Metallic Edge Ribbon.

Sweet Soiree Shimmer Embossed Background

Oh my goodness this card was fun and it was definitely a favorite at class.  We used lots of the Sweet Soiree Suite on this birthday card.  We started with the Bermuda Bay background — we used the Shimmery Embossing Paste and the Sweet Soiree Decorative Mask to lay down nice little sparkle flower strings.  Next we the Sweet Cake Framelits to cut out the cake plate from Silver Foil Sheet.  We stamped the cake with Bermuda Bay ink stamped off once.  Then we used the other decorative mask and a Sponge Dauber to add the darker Bermuda Bay frosting swirls (so easy to do).  I finished off the card by adding pearls along the top edge.
