Bird Banter & Tuttu Frutti Cards & Envelopes

Today is Project 8 from Stampin’ Sisters Retreat and it is a fun one!!!  We used the Bird Banter Stamp Set which many said before retreat that they didn’t need this set.  When they were working of the project they fell in love with those adorable birds, especially the one wearing a birthday hat.  We used the Tutti Frutti Cards & Envelopes from the Sale-a-Bration Catalog for the base of all fours cards.  These wonderful cards & envelopes come four colors to a package — So Saffron, Calypso, Lemon Lime Twist & Pool Party.  Each card has a different background texture — they are so fun to use.

Did you guess what the FREE product giveaway was for this project — Adhesive Backed Sequins.  We added them to each card for some fun sparklies.

We used the same layout on all four cards — circles from the 2 1/4″ punch and Layering Circles Framelits and a banner that is embossed with the Petal Pairs Embossing Folder.  The birds are stamped with Memento ink and colored in with Stampin’ Blends Markers.

Picture Perfect Birthday Pop Up Cards

Today we are on Project 7 from our Stampin’ Sisters Retreat and it’s a fun one — Pop Up Cards!!!!  We used the Picture Perfect Birthday Stamp Set and Picture Perfect Party Designer Paper (I love this paper).  Everyone received a roll of the fabulous Berry Burst Metallic Edge Ribbon for this project.

For two of the cards we stamped greetings right on the designer paper, the other two cards we stamped the greeting and punched it out with the Tailored Tag Punch.  Each card has some of the Berry Burst ribbon on it.

We cut out the party horn from the designer paper and attached it to a piece of Window Sheet that pops up in the middle of the card – adorable, right.

Card #2 is fun balloon designer paper with the greeting stamped right on the balloon.
Don’t forget to add designer paper to your envelope flap too.

We did a little more fussy cutting with the party hat from the designer paper.

Lots of party horns but you don’t have to cut them out this time.

This time cut out three presents and add those to the Window Sheet strip.

I really like the candle paper, again we stamped the greeting right on the paper.
The inside of this card is a little different.

We didn’t add the Window Sheet this time.
We created a little present and attached it to the inside of the card so it folds flat when the card is closed.

True Gentleman Suitcase

It’s time for project 6 — a suitcase box featuring the True Gentleman designer paper and filled with a special treat — adorable.  I think this was the second favorite project for everyone.  They all received a package of Linen Thread for this project.

This project is great for the men in your life or change the color scheme and any woman would love to receive it too.  Are you ready for it……..

It’s cute, right?  But wait, let’s take a peek at the inside.

You slide the designer paper wrapper off, lift the top off the box and
viola, there is the cute little gift inside — Tito’s Vodka.  Of course you
can change the treat inside to any little bottle or if you don’t want
alcohol, that’s ok, put a Snickers candy bar inside.
You could tuck some cash under the bottle or candy and
have a wonderful birthday gift.
I think this would also be adorable in pink or maybe red with
the Petal Passion designer paper.
