Heart Happiness and Petal Passion Just for You

Today I have a very sweet and simple card for you.  This card features the Heart Happiness stamp set and Petal Passion Designer Paper.  I think this card works for many different occasions — it doesn’t say I LOVE YOU so it could be for a friend for Valentine’s Day, it would also be great for an Anniversary or Wedding, but it’s also great to just let someone know you are thinking about them!!!

Whisper White – 2″ x 4 1/4″ — stamp polka dot heart with Real Red ink, stamp stripe heart with Memento ink — cut out with Sweet & Sassy Framelits

Petal Palette & Flourishing Phrases Sympathy Card

We love to make hand-stamped cards for lots of different occasions.  There is one occasion that we don’t like to have to make but it’s good to have them on hand — Sympathy Cards.  When we really need one isn’t always the best time to sit down to stamp so having some on hand helps us a lot.  The Petal Palette stamp set has many fabulous images and phrases in it but it didn’t have anything for sympathy so I grabbed one of my favorite phrase stamp set — Flourishing Phrases.  The script is lovely and there is a wonderful message for the inside of your card too.

I went with a calm color combo — Fresh Fig and Smoky Slate with Basic Gray accents all on Shimmer White cardstock.  I stamped the branch with Smoky Slate ink — be sure to stamp the first branch straight across the cardstock so there is room for the bird to sit.  Then I added in some more Smoky Slate leaves around the edges.  I stamped the bird with Basic Gray ink.  I stamped With Sympathy in Fresh Fig and added some of the 1/4″ Basic Gray ribbon that comes in the Sale-a-Bration Shimmer Ribbon Pack (you can choose this FREE with a $50 order).  It makes for a very simple but beautiful card.

Waterfront Nature Birthday

Have you found the Waterfront Stamp Set from the Occasions Catalog– page 48.  The images are different looking but so absolutely gorgeous.  I have definitely fallen in love with this stamp set, it makes me feel like a real artist.

stamp double line water image with Dapper Denim — full strength
stamp single line with Old Olive stamped off once
stamp mountains with Crumb Cake — move over a little and stamp again creating a little mountain range
stamp trees with Old Olive
Old Olive – 1″ x 2 3/4″ — punch one end with Banner Punch
