Sweet Elephant

Sometimes I want to send a card to someone JUST BECAUSE — no special reason except to remind them how much I care about them.  This card is perfect for that — sweet and simple — soft and calming — good for any reason you want to tell someone you care about them.

A Little Wild stamp set, Little Loves Framelit, Layering Circles, Just Because
Isn’t this just the sweetest.  I saw a card like this on Pinterest (I apologize, I forgot to write down you it was).  I changed it up a bit to fit my needs and I just love it and so did the ladies in class.  This little elephant is fun to work with.  You can make a fun tag to put on a package or cut her apart to use her on a card.  The Stitched Shapes Framelit and Layering Circles scallop give it a nice feminine feel.  One of my favorite things on this card was attached the lacy strips — I used the Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets attached to the back of Smoky Slate cardstock and then run it through the Big Shot with the Thinlit — then just peel the backing off and stick to the card — no messy glues “oozing” out — LOVE IT!!

Measurements:
Smoky Slate
– 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ — score at 4 1/4″
Pink Pirouette – 3″ x 3″ — cut scallop circle with Layering Circles
Whisper White – 2 3/4″ x 2 3/4″ — cut circle with Stitched Shapes
Smoky Slate – 2 1/2″ x 2 1/2″ — stamp elephant with Basic Grey — color ears with a bit of Pink Pirouette ink and a Blender Pen — cut out with Framelit
Smoky Slate – 1″ x 4 1/4″
Multipurpose Adhesive Sheet – 1″ x 4 1/4″ — attach to Smoky Slate — cut out two lacy strips
Silver Metallic Thread – 12″ — attach to back of Pink Pirouette scallop circle with dimensionals
