Happy Birthday Eastern Palace Style

A little fun trying out the new Happy Birthday Thinlit.
It’s a wonderful font that makes a simple card fabulous.

Happy Birthday Thinlit, Eastern Palace Specialty Paper
We simply added some strips of Eastern Palace Specialty Paper along with Lemon Lime Twist and Dapper Denim for a fun background.  Next we used the Happy Birthday Thinlit to cut the greeting from Black cardstock and attached to the card front — we used the new Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets — works great.  For the final touch we colored some pearls black with a Sharpie marker.  Super simple but adorable — don’t you love it!!!

Card Details:
Pocketful of Sunshine stamp set & Pocket Framelits
Card Base — Thick Whisper White — 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ — score at 4 1/4″
Wild Wasabi — 4″ x 5 1/4″
Dapper Denim — 3 3/4″ x 5″ — sponge with Dapper Denim ink to look like jeans
Dapper Denim — stamp pick with Dapper Denim ink
stamp “a little pocket” and “change” with Versamark ink — heat emboss with White embossing powder
cut out along solid lines — sponge edges with Dapper Denim ink
Wild Wasabi — stamp “money” with Wild Wasabi ink — cut out with Pocket Framelits
Whisper White — 1/2″ x 1/2″ — stamp “HBD” with Dapper Denim ink — attach to left side of pocket
Attach pocket and money to card with dimensionals

Colorful Seasons — It’s a Cool Down

It’s Hot, Hot, Hot!!!
I don’t know about where you live but it is HOT here in Illinois.
Our temps are hitting 90+ — 95 by Wednesday.
Today’s card is perfect to bring on a little CHILL.

The Colorful Seasons stamp set and coordinating Seasonal Layers makes it a breeze to cut out these snowflakes — add a little Clear Wink of Stella for some shimmery white snowflakes.

Card Base — Thick Whisper White — 4 1/4″ x 11″
Bermuda Bay — 4″ x 5 1/4″
Whisper White — 3 3/4″ x 5″
emboss with the Softly Falling Embossing Folder
Pool Party — 2″ x 3″ — punch with the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch
cut out part of a snowflake with the framelit
Whisper White — cut out two snowflakes
Bermuda Bay 3/8″ Mini Chevron Ribbon — 5″ — tie on to the snowflake tag
Whisper White — 3/4″ x 4″ — punch end with Triple Banner Punch
stamp “thinking of you” with Bermuda Bay ink
