Christmas Stars

This is another card we made at this month's Christmas Stamp-a-Stack. We used the Under the Tree designer paper — I cut out stars using the Stars Collection Thinlits and popped them up on dimensionals. The card base is Cherry Cobbler with a layer of Garden Green. The Be Merry is from the Holiday Invitation stamp set.

Nutcracker Merry Christmas

Have you seen the Santa Stache stamp set in the Holiday Catalog.  The first time I saw this set it kind of "creeped" me out.  I'm not fond of nutcrackers — I have a nephew who collects them — but I find them a little scary.  I didn't order this stamp set right away but I kept looking at it.  I saw a few samples and the Santa is kind of cute so I ordered it.  I started using the nutcracker image and am finding I like it.  I love cutting out the mustache with the mustache framelit and popping it up on dimensionals for a 3-D look.

NutcrackerThis card was made at this month's Christmas Stamp-a-Stack class.  The class featured the Under the Tree designer paper.  This piece gave me my base color– Early Espresso.  I colored the nutcracker with Cherry Cobbler and Daffodil Delight Blendabilities so I added small layers of each cardstock to blend it all together.  I am very happy with the way this card turned out.  I hope you enjoy it too.

We requested a religious Christmas Stamp set and Stampin' Up! listened!
A new Photopolymer stamp set is available. It's called Gentle Peace and it's perfect for coloring and shading with our Blendabilities for a stained glass effect. It's also the perfect set for a soft and simple heat embossed card.

My set is on the way to me.  I can't wait to get it and make a few very special Christmas cards.  Of course with all of the coloring not everyone will get this card but I can think of a few that would really appreciate this card.  It would also make a beautiful framed art piece to display for the holiday season — oh, oh now I really can't wait for it to arrive.  Time to look for a special frame.

You can get your own Gentle Peace stamp set too — just go to my online store or email me now and I am happy to place the order for you.
