For a Great Friend – Lovely Inside & Out

Every now and then you look at a stamp set and think, this has potential but I honestly don’t know what to do with with.  The Lovely Inside & Out stamp is like that for me.  There are great phrases and some interesting texture stamps but I kept thinking how do I combine this.  Then there is a matching thinlit set too.  This card was a card I received in Saturday’s demo swap.  My sister, Tina, made this one.  I love the soft look of the Delightful Daisy designer paper and she paired it with Wisteria Wonder — oh, so pretty.

Card Base — Wisteria Wonder — 4 1/4″ x 11″ — score at 5 1/2″
Calypso Coral — 4″ x 5 1/4″
Delightful Daisy Designer Paper — 3 3/4″ x 5″
Calypso Coral — cut scallop circle using Layering Circles Framelits
Whisper White — cut circle using Layering Circles Framelits
Calypso Coral — cut out “friends” using the Lovely Words Thinlits
cut it loose at “f” and “d” — attach to Whisper White circle
Stamp three little flowers from Daisy Delight with Wisteria Wonder ink
Wisteria Wonder — 1/2″ x 3″ — stamp “For a Great” with Wisteria Wonder ink – cut ends to create banner
Attach banner to Whisper White circle with dimensionals
Attach circles to card front with dimensionals

What a beautiful card — so very sweet, it works for a birthday, a thank you or how about just to tell a friend how very special they are to you.

Bike Ride Basket full of Flowers

There are so many fun new items it’s hard to decide what to share each day.  Today’s card was one for our event on Saturday.  The card is sweet and simple — a little color but still very simple and it is so adorable.

Don’t you just love this little basket of flowers — it was stamped once on the Stitched Shape circle and then again on a second piece of Whisper White with Soft Suede ink.  The apples on the Stitched Shape circle are colored with Real Red and Old Olive markers.  You will cut out just the basket on the second image — attach it over the Stitched Shape basket with dimensionals.  Hey, did you know there are mini dimensionals in the new catalog.  I can’t wait to get them — they will be perfect for those little pieces.

On the 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Whisper White, the lines are created with the Simply Scored Tool.
How about that banner — don’t you love it.  It is the new Wood Textures designer paper stack.  There are so many uses for this paper.  I am positive it will go on backorder pretty quick — get your order in right away so you don’t have to wait for more to come in.

At Home With You

Yesterday I had a blast with a bunch of demonstrator friends and team members.  We held our Annual Catalog Demo Make & Take so we have lots and lots of samples to share with all of you.  We also held a card swap with 19 participants and then ended the day with a Team Meeting and more stamping.  Everyone left with 20 fabulous cards, 19 swaps and 5 In Color cards — that’s 44 cards total plus a day full of fun!!!

I wanted to share my swap card with you today.  I know June just started but I wanted to use one of the new In Colors — Tranquil Tide and I paired it with a new stamp set and coordinating framelit — At Home With You.  This is a great stamp set for all seasons but when I first look at it I see Christmas — that’s right, I made a Christmas card in June.

Isn’t it adorable — a ton of die cutting with the Big Shot and coloring with markers but so darn cute — I love it!!  I love that there is even a welcome mat.  Stampin’ Up! has a quick video showcasing all the goodies in this bundle — check it out, you will NEED this stamp set.
