Country Livin’ Happy Birthday

I just came across this card from a swap I participated in a while back — I don’t think I shared it before (if I did — it is that good to share again).  I love this card, it is simple but pops so well.  This card makes me think of my friend Rorie.  The stamp is Country Livin’ — one I thought I would never own but I love it.  It also features the Hardwood background stamp.

I think this card was created by Cathy — she did a great job water coloring — such great highlights on the boots.  I need to pull this stamp set out and make some more of these.

The Copper Foil Sheet is inside the fireplace which is cut from Basic Gray cardstock using the Hearth & Home framelit.  The fireplace brick is the Halloween Night designer paper — I love when designer papers can be used for more than one holiday.  See Santa's Hat coming down the chimney.

Santa’s Sleigh

I have a Scrap & Go Hostess Club — we get together each month and make a double 12″ x 12″ spread for each month of the year.  We don’t meet in December and January (time to enjoy all the holiday festivities with family & friends), so when we start in February we make one page for January (the first page in the book) and two pages for February.  Then in November, our last class, we make two pages for November and then one page for December.  At the end of the ten month commitment you have a scrapbook to cover the whole year — it makes a great gift.

Here is the final page of this year’s album — Christmas of course.
Santa's Sleigh
We used Santa’s Sleigh stamp set and the matching Santa’s Sleigh Thinlits.  The Whisper White square was embossed with the Softly Falling embossing folder.  We used Greetings from Santa stamp set for the Whisper White strip across the center.  Don’t forget that is one of the stamp sets that is on sale for only $14.25 through November 30th. 

I love how this turned out — it is all set to add those holiday pictures.
