WOO HOO!!!
A new Sale-a-Bration stamp set.
I just received some new stamping goodies.
I didn’t think I need the Sunburst Thinlit from the
Occasions Catalog — really, what would I do with it.
Then I saw some cards on Pinterest and knew that I
HAD to have it.  I cased today’s card from fellow
demonstrator, Brian King.  I love this color combination
that he did and the designer paper was perfect.
So I made a few adjustments for my card.
I used the new Sale-a-Bration stamp set Party Pants.
This set has some great words and a couple of images.
I love adding layers to my cards — 1/8″ borders give
just a little pop of color change (this drives my sister crazy).

Sunburst Party PantsThe card base is Lost Lagoon. 
I added a layer of Soft Suede – 4″ x 5 1/4″.
Next is Hello Honey — 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″
Then the Sweet Lil’ Things designer paper — 3 3/4″ x 5″
I cut both the Vanilla stars and the Hello Honey stars paper the
same size.  Then I used the Sunburst Thinlit to cut the
Hello Honey star paper and attached over the Vanilla stars paper.
Such a cool look — this is a must have thinlit.
I added circle of Lost Lagoon, Soft Suede, Hello Honey
and stamped the greetings with Lost Lagoon ink.
I love the WOO HOO stamp.  I could stamp it on everything.

Pedal Pusher

WOOHOO — yesterday we got THREE new Sale-a-Bration
items to choose from.
Today's card uses one of the new stamp sets called
Pedal Pusher.  What a fun set to play with — there are
accessories for the bike — add the basket and lots of
different things you can put in the basket.
Check out my first card using this new set.
Pedal Pusher
So much fun.  I started with Thick Whisper White cardstock for
the base.  I used the Project Life Corner Punch to round the
bottom edges of the card.  Then I used a couple of different
Washi Tapes — Cherry on Top and It's My Party.
I used the Oval Collection Framelits to cut out a Bermuda Bay
oval and a Whisper White oval.  I stamped the bike from
the Pedal Pusher stamp set with Memento ink.
I added the basket to the front of the bike and stamped
a bouquet of flowers in the basket, both with Memento ink.
I used markers to color the flowers – Watermelon Wonder,
Pear Pizzazz and Delightful Dijon (for the center of the flower).
I colored the bike with markers too — Bermuda Bay and
Basic Black.  I stamp "I'm Here for You" from the
Pedal Pusher stamp set and then at the bottom of the
card I stamped f"No road is too long when you have good
company" from the Beautiful Ride stamp set.

What a fun, fast & fabulous card to make!!!

Blackberry Bliss Hummingbird

I know it's still winter and it's still cold outside but
this card makes me think of spring and Mother's Day
weekend.  The past few years I've gone to my parent's
house Mother's Day weekend.  My mom loves to
feed the birds.  She puts two hummingbird feeders
on their front porch.  I have never seen so many
hummingbirds anywhere else.  There will be
8-10 hummingbirds feeding at one time.  They
chase each other away.  Mom & I sit there and watch
them for a long time — if it's nice enough we sit outside
and they will still come and eat.  It is so cool to watch.
This card was designed by Windy Ellard — I received
it from her in a swap I participated in.
Windy EllardThe card base is Blackberry Bliss.
She added a piece of the 5/8" Striped Cotton Ribbon — Blackberry Bliss
across the center of the card.  Next is a layer of Pool Party and
then Very Vanilla.  There is lots of texture looks with the
Timeless Textures stamp set.  The images are stamped with
Wisteria Wonder, Blackberry Bliss and Pool Party inks
The hummingbird is from Picture Perfect stamp set.
The hummingbird is also stamped with Blackberry Bliss,
Wisteria Wonder and Pool Party inks and then cut out
with Paper Snips.  Use dimensionals to pop the hummingbird
up.  Stamp the words with Blackberry Bliss ink.

I love when a card reminds me of such great memories.
Now I'm looking forward to Mother's Day weekend,
even if it is a long way off.
