Stampin’ Sisters Retreat – Day 2

Yesterday was Day #2 of our Stampin' Sisters Retreat.
Oh what fun we had!!!
We took a group picture of all 60 people in attendance.
Group
We started the day out with my husband, Tony.
He came to sharpen scissors for those who had dull scissors.
Tony Sharpening
He spent about 4 hours with us and sharpened
a lot of scissors.  These ladies are ready to craft away
and now they can do plenty of "fussy" cutting (haha).

Lunch Line
After a morning of "hard work" they were treated to an
Italian Buffet for lunch.  It was a yummy break in our day.
Lunch
Check out all the great choices they had,
Pastas with Marinara or Alfredo Sauce,
meatballs, grilled chicken strips, salad with lots of toppings
Garlic Bread and yummy cookies and brownies for dessert.
The hotel staff was awesome — they even catered to those of us
with Gluten intolerance — they had gluten free pasta and
it tasted wonderful.

The ladies had a choice to participate in a card swap.
Almost everyone joined that fun.
Swapping Line
Here they are lined up ready to swap.
Can you feel the excitement?

We put all the cards on display and numbers them.
Everyone attending got to vote for their favorite card.
Card Contest Winners
The winners were:
Kim Vale — 1st place
Cheri Carol — 2nd place
Gail Diss — 3rd place
All of the cards were wonderful but everyone loved these three cards just a bit more.

We'll be starting the final day soon.
Does it look like fun?
Are you ready to join us next year??
We would love to have you.

Stampin’ Sisters Retreat

It's finally here!!!
Last night started our Stampin Sisters Retreat.
My sister, Tina Rappe and I have hosted this event for 10 years.
We have 60 fabulous women joining us for Friday night,
all day Saturday and half a day on Sunday for lots and lots of
stamping.  Check out how cute the room looks.
Balloons on Table
This year's theme was a birthday party.
They each received a "gift box" tied pretty with Watermelon Wonder ribbon.
The box was filled with supplies for the weekend — 8 projects total plus
dimensionals, glue, sponge and a couple other fun goodies.

Full Cake
This adorable cake that Tina made greeted them at the door
when the room was unlocked.  Isn't is the cutest.
Inside each slice are a few pieces of candy and a number.
The number is to be used for their turn at playing a game
to win a prize.

Gift Box
Here's there gift box.
Box Tag
Here's the tag on the box.
Car Full of Balloons
Tina and I had a blast when we picked up balloon bouquets for the tables.
My Escape was filled full of balloons.

Now we are about ready to open the doors and start the second day of planning.

Party Pants

Party Pants is one of the new Sale-a-Bration items you can choose when you place
a $50 order.  This stamp set is awesome.
This is one of the cards we made at Stamp & Go Club this week.
I wanted everyone to see how much fun this stamp set is.
Party Pants
The card base is Mint Macaron.
I added a layer of Smoky Slate and then Whisper White to stamp on.
I started by stamping the Mint Macaron balloon at the top center.
Then I stamped WOO HOO with Memento ink.
I added the balloon strings and tassels with Memento too.
I punched the balloons with the new Balloon Bouquet Punch
from It’s My Party designer paper — add those to the card
front with dimensionals.
Stamp Party Pants with Memento ink on Whisper White
and punch out with the 1 1/4″ circle punch.
I used the Mint Macaron marker to color in just a bit on
the letters.
Oh, I almost forgot another new Sale-a-Bration item — the
Metallic Glitter Tape.  It’s thicker and stickier
than regular washi tape.  I added the Silver Washi Tape
to the card front and attached the other layers

You have to give this stamp set a try.
