Balloon Fun

Do you remember the wedding bell decorations "in the old days"?
I know the hall for my wedding reception had the
bells that came flat and you opened them up
with all the little honeycombs inside to
create a nice full bell.
The Occasions Catalog has a new item called
Honeycomb Embellishments.
They are like those wedding bells but they
are little circles.
Check out today's card — I added that
embellishment for the balloon.
Now I have a 3-D balloon on my card.

Honeycomb EmbellishmentMy card base is Mint Macaron cardstock with a layer
of Melon Mambo and Basic Black.
I used the It's My Party designer paper and
added three strips to the Basic Black layer.
Tip Top Taupe cardstock was cut 1 7/8" x 4 1/4"
and punched at the top with the
Ornate Tag Topper Punch.
I stamped the balloon from a Sale-a-Bration
stamp set Honeycomb Happiness with
Memento ink.  I colored the bow with the
Melon Mambo marker.  This tag
was attached to a larger Basic Black tag.
I used the Melon Mambo twine from the
Baker's Twine Combo Pack which is
new in the Occasions Catalog.
Then I added the Mint Macaron
Honeycomb Embellishment.
They have adhesive on them so they
stick down very nice.

You have to give these cuties a try.

Grateful Bunch

You are Totally Awesome!!
I love these words — they are part of the Grateful Bunch stamp set
that is in the Occasions Catalog.  Yes, there is a coordinating
punch — Blossom Bunch Punch.
Grateful BunchThe card base is Pear Pizzazz.
Then a layer of Watermelon Wonder — love this color.
Next is Basic Black and finally Whisper White.
I added a strip of the Botanical Gardens Washi Tape
along the right side of the Whisper White layer.
Stamp the words with Mossy Meadow ink
I stamped the leaves with Pear Pizzazz ink.
The flowers were stamped with Memento ink
on Watermelon Wonder cardstock and
punched out and attached to the card with dimensionals.
I stamped “And I am Totally Grateful” inside the
card with Mossy Meadow ink.

Who’s Turning 29 Again

Every now and then a stamp set makes me laugh!!
This time the stamp set surprised me.
What stamp set am I talking about?
It's called Number of Years.
It's in the Occasions Catalog.
I thought this was definitely a stamp set that I
didn't have to have — really, what would I use it for.
Then I really looked at it and oh my gosh — there
are so many things to do with this set.
I love it and it is definitely a favorite with
my customers.
29 AgainCheck out this card….
The base is Tip Top Taupe.
A layer of Melon Mambo — 2 1/2" x 5 1/2".
The designer paper is It's My Party
that is 2 1/4" x 5 1/2".
I used the Circle Collections to cut out
a circle from Mint Macaron — and
stamped "Look Who's Turning" at the top,
then stamp "Again" at the bottom,
both with Memento ink.
I used Melon Mambo ink to stamp the 29
and cut out with the coordinating Large Number Framelits.
I punched out Crushed Curry balloons
using the Balloon Bouquet Punch.
I used Crushed Curry Baker's Twine for the
balloon strings and bow.
Pretty quick and easy and everyone
loves this saying.
